Earth Defense Directive

Plot: In the year 2030, an alien force has descended on the country of Japan. Known as the Swarm, the creatures use monstrous hybrids of Earth animals and their own biology to attack the Earth. To make matters worse, these human-sized creatures are restored to life by their masters when killed the first time, only at giant size. Battles with these creatures result in massive collateral damage and normal weapons take hours to successfully kill one. Thankfully, heroes have arisen, do you have what it takes to defeat one?

Hero Styles: There are three types of hero, each with advantages and disadvantages, choose carefully.

Rider Heroes: These armored heroes ride motorcycles and transform with a cry of Henshin! They are swift, fast, strong, and trained in martial arts, allowing them to fight monsters with their bare hands or with few weapons. While very good at single-handedly killing human-sized monsters, Riders are unable to grow to giant size or summon a mecha of some kind. Thus, to combat the monsters after they revive, they need to aim for its weak spots and climb onto it, ether that or leave the monster to their allies that can fight them on a more close quarters environment. Overall, they’re the best at defeating human sized monsters of the three types.

Sentai (team): These heroes travel in groups of 2 to 6 and are known for each having a different colored suit, as well as having some theme to their group and mecha. They each have a side arm and signature weapon befitting the theme (a lion one has a lion themed weapon, ect.). They’re commonly called Power Rangers as a collective term. They each have a mecha themed after their own theme and combine into a humanoid robot, Megazord. These robots are powerful enough to fight monsters head on, but due to limitations of robotics, are not flexible due to their armor. Their weakness is they’re not as well armored or as individually strong as Riders, and must rely on teamwork to defeat their opponents, and their Megazord won’t work if they’re not on the same page. Overall, they’re the most balanced of the types, as they’re effective against human sized and giant monsters.

Giants: These heroes are armed with high tech weaponry, stronger in individual weaponry than Sentai heroes. However, in their human form, they’re unarmored and must dodge attacks other heroes could survive. Their true power lies in their alternate form. They have the ability to transform into giant superheroes. These heroes powers and appearance varies greatly, but common traits are a formfitting body suit and metallic skin. They have an advantage over a Megazord due to not being hampered by heavy armor while still being incredibly durable. Another common trait is these heroes are typically alien in origin and of the three are the strongest against giant monsters.

Rules:

I decide when you may finish the monster off.

Unless I say otherwise, human-sized monsters will always go giant.

Be ready with subplots, we’ll need them for when a monster isn’t attacking. I’ve got something to help with that. (see Heroes Lounge below)

Crushes are allowed, maybe even hook ups later on, but nothing explicit.

Drones (basically ant-based monsters that are weak and easy to kill) can be completely destroyed in seconds, but real monsters require a battle, and may even escape during the first fight in human size. Some monsters will require teamwork, some you’ll be able to destroy single-handedly.

Please be a frequent person on the site! And post often! Inactivity is an RP murderer!

If you choose Sentai you MUST be the entire team, because waiting for someone so you can fight with your giant robot isn’t fun.

Heroes’ Lounge: A club/HQ the heroes can access when they’re not working. They can relax, train, form friendships, even build new weapons and Sentai heroes can, eventually, buy additional Zords to power up their main one. It’s up to you if you want to be here undisguised or disguised/morphed.

Personalities: Jarret is a leader, and can be a bit harsh at times, but cares for his team and innocent lives above all else. Michael is tough and not the smartest, but has good instincts, he is very protective of his younger sister and will pummel anyone who threatens her. Eiji is tough and a hothead, he loves to fight but can be counted on in a pinch. Tracy is smart, but shy when not in battle, but cares for her team and her brother, in a fight, she can be serious and a good fighter. Sally is energetic and loves to help people, she’s normally a support role.
History: They were chosen by the Earth to take up their powers as a team of superheroes, equipping them with powers and weapons forged from its very life-force. They now fight the Swarm as a team.
Appearance: Their basic outfit are the same but with different helmets and primary colors. They have jagged patter white partners across their chest and down their arms, their glows and boots being white. Their helmet is the roaring mouth of the animal they’re empowered by, with eyes above it and ears the same.
Jarret: Red Irish Wolf Hound (just said as Red Hound)

Powers and Weapons: Fang Blaster: A dagger in the shape of a curved fang, the hilt can move down, opening the fang into the crossbow-mode

Michael: Wolf Crusher: A large gauntlet modeled after a huge wolf’s head that opens like a mouth to bite down on its target. Blue in color.
Power: Tremendous strength, even compared to his allies.
Eiji: Jackal Sickles: A pair of Egyption style sickleswords, green in color with black added in. Each hilt is modeled after a Jackal’s head.
Powers: Healing, both himself and others.
Tracy: Fox Bow: A bow and arrow with a fox’s head where the arrow goes through. Though it actually doesn’t use arrows but shoots energy arrows from its mouth.
Power: Pheromone Manipulation, she can alter her pheromones to affect people and animals, ether making herself very appealing or smell extremely terrible.
Sally: Maned Staff: A long yellow staff with a Maned Wolf’s head at the tip.
Power: She can see incredible distances very clearly.
Fang Buster: The head of the Maned Staff is slid into the top of the Wolf Crusher (still visible), the Jackal Sickles are attached to the sides, facing forwards, the Fox Bow placed on top of where they combine, the head behind the Maned Staff’s. The Hound Saber is then slid into a notch under the staff, acting as a trigger.
Zords: All their Zords can fire energy blasts from their mouths.
Red Hound: A mechanical Irish Wolf Hound that is primarily red but has silver on its mouth and underbelly. It has huge tires at its shoulders and can fold up its legs to move at high speeds. Its eyes are gold. It’s can extend silver spikes from the center of its shoulders, which spin with the tires and slash targets.
Blue Dire Wolf: A mechanical wolf, the largest Zord and looks bulkier. It’s primarily blue but has a gold under belly and jaw. Its eyes are silver. It’s lower legs are treads like a tank, it can fold them up to move at higher speeds like a tank. Uses its jaws as its main weapon. Its tail can be used as blade as well and looks like a curved sword blade.
Green Jackal: A mechanical green Jackal with gold where the others have silver. It has boosters on its back to launch itself at high speeds. Its hind hips have golden armor and its front ones can extend sickle-like blades front the shoulders.
White Fox: A white mechanical fox even in length to the Jackal. It has a lighter shade of silver than the others and has silver armor at its hind hips. It has boosters like the Jackal and can extend a cross-bow type device on its back to fire.
Yellow Maned Wolf: A mechanical yellow Maned Wolf with bronze in place of silver. It is the same length as the Red Hound Zord. It has stabilizers in its legs and can extend a crane-like device from its back to pick up targets.
Megazord:
Canid Megazord: Red and Yellow’s legs fold up and yellow’s crane detaches. Their heads fold up and form the feet as their bodies form the legs. Blue’s tail folds down and its legs fold in, its head folds up onto the top, revealing a golden fang with a silver globe behind it as the symbol on the chest. The hind legs fold in to form the abdomen which plugs into Red and Yellow. White and Green’s legs fold up and their armor folds together and they plug into blue by the hip, their heads forming it’s ‘hands’. The Dire Wolf’s face flips down into the mecha, revealing the human-like face behind it, with the mouth covered by a face plate but keeping the wolf ears. It can use the Dire Wolf’s tail as a sword and the ‘crane’ attaches to the back and can be extended as a battering ram by swinging over the shoulder.
Finisher:
Fang Buster charges energy from each part then fires a multicolored energy blast through the monster.
Megazord: Haunter‘s Moon: The boosters on the Fox and Jackal roar to life and the wheels on Hound and Maned Wolf activate, launching him forwards. It then leaps into the air, a full moon appearing behind it and allowing it to deliver a diving slash through the target on descent, grinding to a stop behind them as they explode.

I may add a giant later, depends if anyone choose to. Cause those six count as separate characters. You may have as many characters as you wish. But PLEASE don’t let this die, I worked really hard on it.

Rider name: Kamen Rider Shadow

Age: 17

Personality: Devon is a pretty nice guy though he can't stand the the aliens and there plan to take over the world. He now is a enemy who has anything to do with the aliens and will destroy anyone who gets in his way.

History: Devon was born and raised in the Tokyo. His parents were killed in a plane crash that left Devon devastated. He then took up Rider training and found out it was fun and replaced that empty spot in his mind and heart.

Animal Base: Black Panther

Armor Appearance: The color of the armor is back and yellow. It has the claws of a panther but a cool bladed tail. He has a heavily armored torso and legs but he is still very agile.

Powers and Weapons:

Shadow Blade: The blades on his claws and tail glow purple and he rushes in to hit enemies with them. He can also swing his arm in like he was hitting someone and it will launch a Shadow Cut (like an Air Cutter attack) at the person.

Psycho Beam: Launches a powerful purple/pink beam out of his head.

Shadow Gun: Pulls out a Shadow Gun and shoots bursts of Shadow Fire or he can charge it up and launch a powerful Shadow Ball.

Motercycle: Motercycle has a lot of cool gadgets. It can fire lasers, grappling hooks, rockets, and it can go from 0-80 is three seconds.

Finisher:

Shadow Rush: His whole body is outlined in a purple shadow (like when he uses Shadow Blade) He then runs at amazing towards the enemy and does and uppercut punch. The punch sends the enemy in the air and he jumps in the air. His leg then glows purple and he spin kicks the enemy in slow-mo.

Upgraded Shadow Gun: Pulls out his Shadow Gun and it grows longer and more powerful. He then charges it up and it shoots a strong beam of Dark Fire and Shadow Fire.
 
Nice! This'll be exciting!

Also, to kinda help the Riders out, in addition to their motorcycle, they can have a more appropriate monster fighting craft, like a jet or tank or something, only with more high tech weapons. Still not as strong as the mecha or giants, but it makes it more fair.

Name: Rao Akari-O’Conner
Rider Name: Kamen Rider Kunoichi
Age: 19
Basis of armor: Red fox/ninja/kitsune

Personality: Mischievous and scheming, she is always on her toes. Despite that, she's very honor-bound and honest, if a bit blunt. She has a strong sense of duty and valor, not knowing the term of "giving quarters" AKA fleeing. She is sarcastic, flippant, and cynical. She has an unflappable nature, meaning she’s willing to fight anyone. She’s rather short-tempered and anyone who can piss her off quickly felt her wrath. There are some things she can be quite stubborn on and some things that she is not. She can be a bit of a fan girl, especially if she’s helping out Power Rangers.

History: Rao was born in Phoenix, Arizona with Asian-American blood in her. She grew up watching the “Power Rangers” series, from the good to the bad and the ugly. Out of personal respect for the show, she decided to take up various martial arts to keep herself active, fit, and prepped for any attackers that might want to harm her. She has kickboxing, muey they, karate, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts under her belt, and in her room was a special shrine where every Megazord set to date is placed is hidden, with cut outs of the logos over the first Megazord of that series.

When she got the last of the RPM Megazords and assembled it together, it was when she saw the alien forces invaded Earth, intending to either kill or enslave the human race. During the invasion, she saw an actual team of Power Rangers based off of canines take on their first opponent and was she giddy! She had thought she was in an actual episode of Power Rangers. She was suddenly visited by a bizarre white fox holding an equally bizarre device in its jaws. As if by instinct, once she grabbed it, she went through a seemingly rehearsed transformation scene. To her surprise, she had become a Kamen Rider, but because of her mainly independent attitude, she didn’t get to become a Power Ranger. But recently, she’s becoming a Kamen Rider fan as well, and loving her newfound powers stemming from fictional ninja styles, thanking Inari for giving her this power, as white foxes are considered to be the Shinto god’s messengers.

Henshin device: Shinobi Plate; A flat, grey rectangular device the size of a DS iXL mounted on a wristband. To prevent theft, the wristband is connected to the device with enough force to pick up two 16 pound bowling balls without any sort of ill effects, which, by the way, is more than enough to prevent the Plate’s theft on the street. To deploy it, Rao presses the four buttons on the corners to form a complete rectangle. It is released and a belt containing a black card deck holder, a hunting knife and scabbard, a pouch connected to the belt with a zipper containing a deep green ancient Chinese coin, twin throwing knives, and a blunt combat knife and scabbard fades into view. She says “Henshin”, and then places her device onto her belt, forming the buckle. She is shrouded by a black energy, and then white smoke comes out in a “poof”, revealing Kamen Rider Kunoichi, ready to do battle against monsters. The Plate swaps sides and displays four button and Elemental Setting picture, with the Wind the default Elemental Setting.

Armor Appearance: Her greaves are shaped to resemble a fusion of shin guards, shoes, and clawed toes, only in black metal, with her legs and arms pitch black. Her helmet face is akin to the red fox, if more fitted to the human face. She looks out of her helmet by a protrusion on her helmet face in the shape of sport sunglasses that is colored black. The rest of the helmet is modeled after the stereotypical ninja’s head wrapping, though two ear-like protrusions jut out from her scalp. Her torso armor is forest green and styled into a zipped up flak jacket of Naruto fame. She has black metal gauntlets that have clawed finger tips. Her Rider Belt is black, as well as her Deck Holder, pouch, and scabbards. Coming out of her rump (suit wise) are nine coattails shaped like red fox tails.

Powers: Able to run at high speeds and able to scale up short heights and run on walls with this speed

Heighten agility and senses

Special kind of vision that allows her to see the world in a different to help her be a more better tactician mid-fight and help her see where to use environmental factors in a fight, but is timed and temporarily blinds Rao once time is up, with a lesser version done if time limit isn't reached

Able to channel elemental power into weapons for deadlier effects

Able to make illusions of choosing that can range from simple mind tricks to a full-blown acid-like trip but for it to work, she must have made direct eye contact with the target then flare red light into their eyes with her visor

Can render herself invisible to everyone without a strong sense of smell or anything that doesn’t detect heat

Can cling to ceilings and walls but must be stationary or in a casual walk.

Weapons: When plain fists and kicks are just not enough to take down the alien MOFW, she can use weaponry located on her Rider Belt to help her out. They are -

Jutsu Cards – The Jutsu Cards are special cards that Kunoichi possesses that allow her to perform special actions or summon weapons for her to use. They are activated when she presses the buttons on the Shinobi Plate to form an hourglass within a rectangle, making it extend a bit by the upper half, where a scanning slot is revealed, which is called the Card Slot. Each Card has a colored picture on it surrounded by a gold box that reflects its name, with the back a solid grey with a crest in the shape of nine red fox tails sticking straight out. She gains more Cards when she faces a situation where her current stack can’t help. So far, her cards are:

*Fox, a Rider Card that allows her to utilize her Finisher attacks. Has the picture of a snarling fox head turn sideways
*Cycle, a Rider Card that calls her motorcycle Makai to her. Has the picture of a motorcycle.
*Wind, a Mystic Element Card that lets her utilizes the wind element into combat purposes. If she obtains more than one Mystic Element Card, it changes her Element Setting to Wind unless it is on Wind already. Symbol is a tornado.
*Fire, a Mystic Element Card that lets her utilizes the fire element into combat purposes. Changes her Element Setting to Fire unless it is on Fire already. Symbol is a branching blaze.
*Lightning, a Mystic Element Card that lets her utilizes the lightning element into combat purposes. Changes her Element Setting to Lightning unless it is on Lightning already. Symbol is a branching lightning bolt.
*Katana, a Weapon Card that turns her hunting knife and scabbard into her katana Kobimaru. Has the picture of a normal katana.
*Twin Sword, a Weapon Card that turns her two throwing knives into her twin chain swords Kotsu I &II. Has the picture of crossed kodachi.
*War Spear, a Weapon Card that turns her combat knife into her guang dao Onikokou. Has the picture of a spear.
*Shuriken, a Weapon Card that turns her coin into her giant fold-up shuriken Koshuriken. Has a picture of a four-point shuriken.

Makai – Kunoichi’s sentient and hellish motorcycle. It looks like a fusion of a classic road hog bike and a metallic fox skeleton. Kunoichi usually calls it with the Cycle Rider Jutsu Card, at which it is launched out of the Zord Bay in a catapult and lands near Kunoichi, but if she is still near it when on the field, she can whistle for it. She uses it to get around, and on occasion fight on it. Much like Ghost Rider’s Behemoth, Kunoichi can use Makai to scale building sides, even if the side in question is covered in glass windows. Makai can also trend on water, though not directly on the surface, but can drive on it, though Makai is bogged down past his tires.

Kobimaru – Kunoichi’s main sword, which takes the form of a daito that has a crossguard in the shape of a snarling fox, with the blade handle a rusty brown, the blade itself is colored white, with a black stencil of a nine tailed fox along the blade. Its sealed form is her hunting knife and scabbard on her Rider Belt.

Onikokou – Kunoichi’s heavy hitter spear, it takes the form of a large guang dao with the shaft golden with the Japanese character for "fox" at the base of the shaft, and separating the blade with the shaft is a collar of white fox fur, tinged with black tips, and the blade has a fox with sharp teeth in a roaring position ridge to it. Its sealed form is her blunt combat knife and scabbard.

Kotsu – Kunoichi’s swords that are meant for mid-range fighting, these take the form of twin kodachi that hide the fact they are chain swords until swung, reaching incredible lengths. The blades have tiny foxes on each subsection of the blade and the handles were white with a cyan blue space and ribbons hanging from the tsuba. Its sealed form is her twin throwing knives and holsters.

Koshuriken – Kunoichi’s weapon for long range attacks, this is a large circular throwing star studded with various gems that folds up its blades while not in use. Its sealed form is her ancient Chinese coin.


Finishers:
Heavenly Fire Kick – her basic form melee finisher. It is activated when she slides Fox Card in her Card Slot. She spins and stops on her left foot, her right wrapped with ruby red fire, sapphire blue fire, and jade green fire combined into one blazing inferno. She then goes at the monster and hits it in various different kick styles. Sometimes, she has to get on her hands for the two legged styled kicks. This is her only Finisher that doesn't change in element.

(Element) Sword Strike – one of her basic weapon finishers. This finisher is activated when she slides Fox Card, Katana Card and a specific Mystic Element Card (if not at desired Setting) though Card Slot, though it is not necessarily in that particular order. The blade is then charged with a particular kind of elemental energy, shrouded in that element. She then charges and slashes with the elementally charged blade in a variety of ways. For example, Wind cuts right into the monster, Fire cutting and burning through, while Lightning slashes and paralyzes.

(Element) Shuriken – one of her basic weapon finishers. This finisher is activated when she slides Fox Card, Shuriken Card (if not out) and a specific Mystic Element Card (if not at desired Setting) through Card Slot, though it is not necessarily in that particular order. Depending on the element depends on the effect Koshuriken will have on the target once it hits. For example, Wind is useful against fire and the finisher shreds through the target. Fire is useful against overgrowth and the finisher explodes upon impact, shredding the foe with shock waves and fire. Lightning can electrocute foes standing in water and target multiple foes and the finisher electrocutes and slashes.

(Element) Slam – one of her basic weapon finishers. This finisher is activated when she slides Fox Card, War Spear Card (if it is not out) and a specific Mystic Element Card (if not at desired Setting) through Card Slot, though it is not necessarily in that particular order. Onikokou’s blade is wrapped in the element and is swung like a baseball bat once in position, and hits the target with enough force to send them flying. The Wind Elemental Setting slices into the foe while sending them away. The Fire Elemental Setting creates a viel of fire that detonates upon hitting the target. The Lightning Elemental Setting creates a film of lightning that electrocutes the foe to death.

(Element) Shredder – one of her basic weapon finishers. This finisher is activated when she slides Fox Card, Twin Sword Card (if it is not out) and a specific Mystic Element Card (if not at desired Setting) through Card Slot, though it is not necessarily in that particular order. Kotsu’s blades are extended to maximum length and Kunoichi spins them around to unleash a deadly yet graceful flurry of slashes. With the Wind Setting, the blades have an elemental film that extends further and is sharper than the actual blade. With the Fire Setting, the blades are superheated and can slice though some armor with ease. With the Lightning Setting, the blades become superconductive and can zap multiple enemies into death.

That I did. I based Kunoichi off of Ken Ogawa of Ninja Blade and used old material from Genesis.
 
Nice. I like it! And the Power Rangers refrence! I didn't think maybe it could be a TV show in this world.
 
All those attacks made my head spin, how are you going to remember all of those attacks?
 
Simple: I'm playing Ninja Blade, the basis of Kunoichi and Kitsune in Genesis.
 
Name: Arton Monkle

Giant Name: Frozon/Firezon

Thought it fit him perfectly. But in more Detail: Inside Frozon's palm of his hand are two circles that are actually fire red. When Arton is faced with extreme situations if he can touch a fire source hot enough he can Henshin into his Firezon form and use fire powers. His new fiery body is exactly the same as his Frozon body except with fire instead of ice.

When in his human form, he has fiery red hair but wears a suit that resembles an Icicle. His human pants are a mixture of fiery and icy patterns across his his body. To Henshin into his Giant form he says "From fire and ice I was born. From Fire and Ice I destroy (insert evil creature type) you!!!" He then shoves his hands together and he transforms into Frozon.

Personality: Arton is rather laid back for a giant. He only cares about protecting his home. He will give his life to buy time for others.

History: After being banished from an Elite Giant super hero group he forged an island with his powers. Soon after his banishment the team of Giants he used to belong to was destroyed. He then vowed to protect all that needed it with his powers.

Powers:

Frozon Beam: Frozon opens his mouth and an ice sphere forms in his hands

Ice Blade: Frozon forms an ice sword out of thin air and uses this the most in battle.

Firezon Beam: Firezon's shoulders turn white hot and a blast of lava is shot out. This lava is over 10,000 degrees hot.

Lava Sword: Firezon shoots lava into the air and heats it far enough so it is a solid lava sword.

Finishers:

Magma Ring: Firezon forms a plume of fire around him. He plants it underground and approximately 10 seconds later the enemy is engulfed by a Volcano.

Arctic Ring: Frozon surrounds himself in an ice dome and breaks a part of. He throws it into the sky/ceiling and approximately 34 seconds later ice pierces the enemy everywhere.

Blade Fury: Arton forms both of his form's blades in his hand and combines them for a massive slice through the enemy.



NOTE: Frozon/Firezon has a final form called Origin Form but he won't get it for ages.
