Editing an article?

[Aku no Ouji]

When I press the "EDIT THIS PAGE" button above an article, my computer wants to download it as a PHP document. And the only writing there is the following (this is when I try to edit an article on LM4):

But when I press an edit tab (one of those blue little links) it's the regular article-editing layout. How do I get my computer not to open that as a pop-up PHP document?

First thing I would do is go to your Preferences, and under the Editing tab, make sure the "Edit pages in an external editor" box is unchecked. Not sure what's causing your problem, but that might have something to do with it.

I don't know what's wrong, but as Jioruji said, you should uncheck that box...

I have no idea what is happening. Clearing the browser cache may help, as may trying at a less congested time.

...Yeh, tested it myself. If you have the "Use an external editor by default" box checked, it'll save the page in .PHP format. Just uncheck that box and it'll be fixed.

*coughcoughwheeze* Sorry I didn't respond. I was experiencing technical difficulties with my computer and internet connection. x_x (It's 13 years old and counting....)
I don't think there is and Editing Tab section in my Prefrences. All there is is Main, Tabs, Content, Feeds, Privacy, and Security. I've checked pretty much every one of them and there's nothing there that says anything about editing.
