Didn't know where to report forum bugs, so here I am.
Where's the button for changing between the WYSIWYG editor and the "normal" one?

I can only use the "normal editor" using Opera, there's no button, and when I use Firefox... surprise there's the "A" button letting me to switch between the editor forms.

Why browser sniffing???
Opera SUPPORTS the WYSIWYG, I could test it changing Opera's UA-String to identify as Firefox, making the button appear and the WYSIWYG editor available.

Click User CP at the top. Then click Edit Options on the left side. Down at the bottom under Miscellaneous Options, it is there.

It doesn't works, the forum simply ignores the option when I'm using Opera.

Yeah, the error is not in Bulbagarden forums, it's in the vBulletin software. And by checking the situation on another board powered by the new vBulletin 4, it still exists, so the developers aren't maybe aware of this, or they have a good reason to hide it.

Ok, thanks.
So... It isn't up to Bulbagarden anymore (unless you want to help me), I'm going to contact vBulletin someway about this problem regarding Chrome, Opera and possible other not-that-popular web browsers. I'm just decided to make this issue (browser sniffing) to go away!

I have opera on my DSi and my wii!
I only have a DSi so I only have Opera on it ^^, but we are talking about Opera desktop version in this thread. :p

I was really curious about that too, since I have Chrome. I hope it's something that those operating systems can look into in the future!

...Operating systems? You mean browsers? It's probably a layout engine issue with Presto and WebKit.

She meant the forum platform (vBulletin).

It isn't a layout engine issue. Presto is capable of processing WYSIWYG, I can make it works if I make Opera spoof as another web browser.
It's a blocking issue. They're blocking Presto and Webkit based web browsers because they think these browsers can't process WYSIWYG.

Don't worry yourselves, I filed a bug report on vBulletin bug tracking system. ;-)
