Eevee - FireRed/LeafGreen Sprite

Is it just me or do others find something a little odd about the sprite for Eevee in FireRed and LeafGreen.

What I'm getting at is the set of 5 Red Pixels in the form of a Plus sign.
If I'm missing some story plot or reason to why Eevee has this on it's mouth in these two games please do tell me, but since it's not like this in any other game (Again, please correct me if I'm wrong here) it seems rather odd to me.

What do you think?

That's just its mouth. You're staring at it too closely by looking at the pixels.

Uh...not really seeing this big deal with it's mouth either. Looks fine to me, not to mention it's in the past and everyone evolves it anyway.

it's just it's mouth colors,viewed in pixels, so, u'll see someing... it's maybe used for the mouth's color shades

Small pixels on a small image will come out awkward if you look too close. If you look at it from a decent distance it just looks like it has it's mouth open, but if you look at it really close the mouth looks different because of the pixels being on such a small image...if that makes any sense >.>

I'm not looking closely, though. That's the thing :S
I know it's not really a big deal, it just doesn't look like an open mouth to me, but more of a Red Splodge.

Maybe not a black line. Maybe not a line at all. I was more thinking that it'd just look better without the Red. I -KNOW- it's not lipstick, but it's always reminded me of that when I see that sprite
