What do you think about new eevee evolutions. (Leafeon, Glaceon)

I think it isn't a good idea, that eevee evolves into them on a certain location. (It evolves to leafeon in eternea forest, and into glaceon there somewhyere near snowpoint city.)

Why didn't they made it evolve with a leaf stone to leafeon and with some other stone (Dawn stone for example) to glaceon.
after all eevee evolved in the I. gen only with stones, which was great.

What do you think?

Btw. Eevee and Jolteon are one of my favourite pokemon,

I AGREE! I also thought Eifie and Blacky should have evolved by sun/moon stone.

However if you use leaf stone or moon stone on Eevee in 1st generation...why can't it evolve? If they decided to allow Eevee evolve from leaf stone and moon stone...why can't it evolve in 1st generation, and yet it evolve in 4th generation? this will cause confusion to people. Espeon and Glaceon do not use new stones because they want them to be counterpart of Umberon and Leafeon based on when or where they are evolving.

So I will said no thank you.

i Like the way they evolve personally i think the idea that certain pokemon only evlove in certain locatins good and adds some more variety. it also helps explain why some pokemon could not evolve in earlier generations like Magneton and Nosepass

But what about the Heart Gold version or soul Silver. I bet you won't have the access to eternea forest (How are you suppossed to obtain Leafeon in such case if you have an eevee.

Trade would be an option, but what if you don't want to trade an evolved form. There should be a possibility to evolve with a stone like a second evolution possibility.

The same can go for Umbreon and Espeon, thes evolve by hapiness according to daytime. I think there should be a possibility to evolve eevee other than special places.

I like it. It shows that Eevee has the power to adapt to whatever the environment is around it. It's a cool idea and something I'd like to see more of in the future.

Hasn't it already been stated in the Pokèdex entries that Eevee can do that? I was wondering why early on, it had to evolve with stones. I

I like the fact you have to go out of your way too evolve Eevee into Umbreon, Espeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. It makes the game a little more fun, a little more challenging.

If they just evolved with a stone, it would be a little boring.

Nope. You do realize Game Freak won't change what's already been done? The evolutions are fine as they are.
No offense, but there's no two ways about it.

Absolutely not!

Giving Eevee's evolutions all environmental things would be closer to its nature, but it would become a bit more tedious. Not that I'd mind, but it might serve to annoy some players of the games.

But as for Stone Evolutions for Eevee, maybe the stones trigger some kind of stimulus in Eevee's cells that make them think they're in the respective environment the stone represents, and so Eevee changes its cellular makeup and evolves through the stimulus the stone provides?

Well that' s a good idea. And then Eevee to Leafeon would be able to evolve in Ilex forest.

Another thing I wanted to discuss about in this thread:

I don't think so, because all the cool types like Fire, Water, Ice, Electric, Grass, Dark and Psychic are cowered.

Having a Rock, Ground, or Poison Eevees for example wouldn't fit in.

Well, all the types Eevee can evolve into were formerly special types. Only one left is Dragon, I believe, so that could be the last one.

That depends on if you think those Eeveelutions are likely.

I personally don't think so, but it's up in the air, after all. If they make a Draconeon or something, we'll see after that.

I personally have no problem with the way Eevee evolves. I'm just sad that I can no longer have an entire Eevee team because now 2 have to be left out in some way.

Also, a Rock type Eevee would make the most sense if they were to do it. It would be called "Obsideon". Makes sense, na?

I think they should have made eevee evolve with the use of stones only. I really don't care, but if you think about it they started out that way with the first three eevee evolutions. In Gen II they had sun and moon stones. Why couldn't espeon and umbreon have evolved with them. Why make it different for all the other new eevee evolutions?
