He's taller than Charizard, Dragonite, Emboar, Blastoise, and Magmortar all of whom are over 2.2 m(7 feet) tall in the tv show yet he's shorter than Beartic wtf? How tall is he, please explain somebody?

He should be pokemon aren't that big if hes an american hes probably tall if he is something between 180-190cm he should be taller than most of them since theyu are all 150-180 besides Dragonite but Dragonite is small its not Virgil that is big also the other kids are small.

Satoshi is like 140-150cm.

It would make sense, but here's the thing: Beartic is supposed to be way taller than that according to the dex. The anime has never been consistent with heights, but in some instances, I think they have much more sensible views on what the sizes of pokemon are SUPPOSED to be. I still disagree since I would still insist that certain pokemon are different sizes than what they are here.

Probably a matter of distance as well. Those Pokemon are BEHIND them.

The perspective would not stunt the height that much. Beartic is flipping over 8ft tall.

But Lizardon is supposed to be bigger than that. It wouldn't be too crazy to assume that some Pokemon are further away than others, especially in the last shot of the ED when they're all frolicking in an open field while the human characters are having touchy-feely times in the center.

They're not standing that far behind. It's just flipping inconsistent. I'm not going to go research all the pokemon heights involved, and it would give me a headache anyway. No, this isn't how I would portray it either. To figure that out would be an even worse headache. What am I complaining about then? I'm not even really complaining that much. I just learned to pay no attention to how the anime portrays sizes.

Well, hardly anything in this anime is drawn to scale. Some of the pokemon are designed to be much taller than their in-game heights. Others are smaller in comparison.

It just so happens that even the "adult" characters are drawn off scale too. Virgil's height was inconsistent between episodes, so him being ridiculously taller than the main characters' pokemon in this ending is no surprise.

Beartic looks like it's crouching, so that could be why it looks shorter than it should be.

Oh, I would just ignore it. The anime's never consistent when it comes to heights. Plus it's probably a bad attempt on perspective, all the characters starting from Kasumi are taller than they should be.

More like they have a bad case of gigantism. Bel is friggin' huge there.

Remember that Ash is still 10 over 16 years so height also applys in terms of non continuity

No its not, the dex probably shows the biggest registered or the usual size of a Charizard is 170cm, are you telling me that Virgil who looks to be between 15-17 isn't bigger than that?

I'm bigger than that and I'm not tall, I'm 175cm so I'm taller than a Charizard by 5 cms, thats pretty noticable.

Beartic is crouching, yes it should tower the other pokemon and be just a little taller than Dragonite, the only proble in the picture is Dragonite not being taller but I'm not sure if they measure his antenas, those things might be what makes Dragonite 2.1m.

Charizard is size perfect, hes bigger than the 10y old about the same size or smaller than the 14-15y old(Dent and Takeshi) and smaller than a tall american teen in Virgil who like I said must be 15+(personally I think he is 17) and this Charizard might not even be 170cm even or Dragonite be 2.1m

Satoshi's Lizardon is supposed to be pretty damn huge by now from training in Lizafic Valley. Dex sizes are irrelevant here. In that shot, he looks like he regressed to the size was in early Jouto.

Another thing that bothers me about this picture is that May is wearing her DP clothing/Emerald Outfit instead of her AG outfit, while Misty is wearing her Original Series (OS) outfit, but not her recent AG outfit.

I could get a headache trying to figure it out...I just don't let it bother me, even though it makes no sense whatsoever.

Pokémon anime logic for ya, people.

The anime tends to be pretty inconsistent in terms of height of human charaters and pokemon

Probably a case "ugly! burn it with fire!"

Nah, it's just inconsistency in this ED. It looked pretty huge to me when it fought Dragonite. (Dragonite was shorter?)
