As per the in-game data, Manaphy and Fione are both in the Water 1 and Fairy egg groups. However, since they are also genderless, this means that, practically speaking, they are in the Ditto egg group only. Furthermore it seems Fione won't even breed with Ditto.

Anyone want to disprove this?

That applies to all genderless Pokémon which are still capable of breeding, most of which fall under the Mineral group, but they cannot breed among themselves (or with the gendered Rock and Steel types composing the rest of the group). Moreover, Manaphy is not even the first breedable genderless Pokémon of a different group than Mineral - the precedent was set in Staryu and Starmie of the Water 3 group.

Furthermore it seems Fione won't even breed with Ditto.
What would prevent Fione from breeding with Ditto and yielding another Fione?

A good question. I need to know if that is due to experimental error or not, but I don't have a Fione on hand to test this myself.

Fione can certainly breed with Ditto, mine has had two eggs with the blob.

If you want a Fione you can have one of those eggs, Zhen.
