I have created the Institute for enabling world renowned, leading icons of their respective fields to come together and facilitate Higher Education for those that have acquired a place at my Institute, after passing rigorous interviews and entry examinations. I hope you contribute to the Institute in a favourable way and go onto have a fruitful career. Most of all, I wish you a good time whilst you are studying here…”
This is an Academy RP, although it is a little different. It is set in the Real World; the Institute of Excellence (abbreviated and more commonly called ELIE, pronounced like el-ee) is in the heart of London. Also slightly different, is that the RP does not focus on the age group of 15-18 (using the American high school system as an example). The RP allows universal appeal and therefore focuses on undergraduates; those people studying for a degree from 18+. Degree programmes range from 3-4 years and as it is a private university; all costs are paid for by Lorraine.
In turn, successful undergraduates that have gained a place are subject to the University’s rules. The RP focuses on not only students but also the staff and there is a chance for both types of characters to be played. This is especially true as the RP will explore students’ interactions but also the troubles faced by staff, especially with a boss who is a businesswoman first.
Once again, the RP takes place in the Real World but does feature Pokemon, and therefore chances of catching Pokemon, battles and similar concepts will be incorporated. The Institute of Excellence functions like a normal University, and accepts students from all over the World, so you are not limited to making a character from the UK.
The University operates in a collegiate system. A variety of subjects are taught on campus but essentially they are grouped into three umbrella headings which function as the separate colleges. The different colleges are not that important besides inside competition, sporting teams and housing. The three colleges are as follows:
Aventurine College - Arts & Humanities
Subjects include but are not restricted to: Creative and Performance Arts, Classics, English, Foreign Languages, Geography and Earth Sciences, History, Media, and Film Studies.
Carnelian College - Social Science and Social Care
Subjects include but are not restricted to: Business and Management, Criminology, Economics, Law, Government and Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theology
Heliotrope College - Maths, Science and Technology
Subjects include but are not restricted to: Accounting and Finance, Biology, biochemistry and other life sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science and ICT, Engineering, Maths, Physics, Psychology

If you’ve read all that and are still interested, thank you. Now all that’s left is signing up. There are two sign up models; one for students and the other for lecturers and other staff. It would be good if people had an interest in the staff roles as well (four staff needed) and a person can play more than one character if they feel they are able to.

It would be pointless to have a staff for every individual subject taught. Similarly, the RP spends very little time in actual teaching, and if in classes focuses more on discussion. Therefore, three teachers are needed. One for each College. The head is entitled to “Lord” or “Lady” followed by the name of the College they are in charge of. Also needed is a Sports Coordinator.
