Serebii (bless his soul) says it's name is Electivire.

I think it sounds pretty bad ass. Apparently the "V" is pronounce like Wire.

Mh,...it sounds pretty nice..but looks a bit odd.

I´m retty sure its german name will be "Elekabl" or something like that.
I guess the "cable-wire" translation made more sense to Nintendo then the "bull"-translation .

Elekid -> Electabuzz -> Electivire I agree that it looks a bit odd, but it is still very bearable.

Actually, it sounds like a villianous Pokémon the more I think about it with the "vire" thing...Kind of like Dracula. Maybe that's just me...

I personally didn't like the sound of Elekible (or Elekable, or Elekibull). This name sounds cooler imo.

I still would've liked Electaboom...because it's fun to say Ele...ect...ta...BOOOM!

Everyone would whine that it's an uncreative name and NoA's run out of ideas or something annoying like that, though.

I'd gotten used to Elecable, really, but Electivire is alright too. It's just one of those words that doesn't really look like a word (if you've ever looked at words like the and often and had that 'oh god, the way it's said and spelt is like a completely made up word' you'll understand the weird sentiment I have) in some sort of grammatical sense, but that's a minor pointless criticism I'll forget in a week.

As predicted, Mr. Maestro complains about it AND bashes the looks of it. XD

I personally think the "V" gives it a Pokemonic flare, so to speak.

I wonder if the final AG will have a pun on it?

Horrible name...simply horrible. This may be the first Pokemon name I actually hate. But...eh...I'll get used to it one way or another...

Not bad. I like it. Elekible, when you compare it to this, didn't make too much sense, but I like the new name

I think this is the first Gen IV name that I really like from the start. :)

E-LEC-TI-VIRE. It's almost TOO awesome! Now we just have to wait for Gary to say the name and we'll be set for life!

It's...just a name. You don't need to exaggerate that much. Unless of course they call a Pokemon Egbert or something.

Bleh, they should have just left it as Elecable/Elekable like they should have just left Buoysel.

Oh well, it's not a wholly terrible name, it's just frustrating that they wont use the perfectly damn fine names they already have sitting there for them.

Is it just me or are they really picking lackluster names for almost all the D/P Pokemon so far?

I almost dread to find out what the 100+ rest of them are in english.

Hmm... Seems like a combination of Electabuzz + Live Wire + Carnivore to me.

Looks a bit awkward, but I like how it sounds when you say it.
That and I really didn't like Elekible.
