I've recently decided to try and make an electric-themed team because it's one of my favorite types. I want all the pokemon on my team to either be the electric type, or know at least one electric type move. Here's what I have so far. Please, suggest any improvements you can think of. If you see a ??? that means I don't know what should go there. I appreciate any help. Thanks. :)

I know that Persian is almost the same thing as Jolteon...I'd be willing to get rid of pokemon if someone could suggest a better pokemon that can learn an electric type move in it's place. I just can't think of any.

Choice items and non-attacking moves are never good. Maybe on Starmie, switch the item to Life Orb.

Also on Porygon-Z, I like the choice scarf set on Smogon:

~ Tri Attack
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam
~ Hidden Power Fighting

Thanks, that clears things up on what to do with Porygon-Z...

I thought Choice Specs raised special attack but allowed you to only use one move? Maybe I'm mistaken. EDIT: Nevermind, I think I understand that it would be a bad idea because I've got recover on there. Life Orb might be a good idea.

Toxic/Protect is much better used on a defensive-minded Pokemon such as Uxie or Probopass, or even Shuckle. Try this:

Jolteon:
@Leftovers/Life Orb/Wise Glasses
Yawn
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Signal Beam/Thunder Wave/Hidden Power Ice

Signal Beam if you have Platinum. HP Ice if you're willing to try for it in-game (it's a pain to get it right but some people are patient enough), or Thunder Wave as a filler.

Hm, I like that. Do I have to get Yawn as an egg move?

This could be interesting as a rain team...

Gets you a really awesome Electric move with 100% accuracy in the rain (Thunder) that's fairly widespread among Pokémon..

Also you forgot to add the natures and EVs lol :(

Well, I had thought about the Rain Dance/Thunder combo, but I decided that I just do better with than in double battles, and since I do single battles more than double battles I wouldn't...but it's still a lingering thought.

Ah...sorry. I'm not altogether sure what natures I want for some of them, like Persian.

The changes I have made to your team allow your Electric Pokemon to shine. Gyarados isn't an electric pokemon but is very strong and will draw out electric attacks that power up your other pokemon. Skarmory is similar and lets you set up stealth rock. Zapdos is built to take special attacks and set up light screen to help the rest of the team. If you don't have access to Zapdos, then use a Rotom appliance that is built around special defense. Specs Porygon Z is great, especially if Jolteon passes it a sub or agility. Electivire is Electivire and can hit Blissey.

Actually... Rotom-A isn't playable on Wi-Fi unless you have an AR. Dunno if the OP has an AR or not, but just saying.

At least, I'm positive it isn't due to it being only available through a Wi-Fi gift and Gira-O/Shaymin-S aren't usable on Wi-Fi..

I think he was trying to get an Electric move on all the Pokemon that aren't Electric-type... you can teach Gyarados Thunder to hit Skarmory (Although Fire Blast is better) and you can switch Skarmory to Forretress and give Forretress Zap Cannon for Gyarados. Porygon-Z is better off with Hidden Power Fighting over Hyper Beam IMO.

It's great team so keep the pokemon you got in here, if you want you put a Pachirisu with a Defensive nature and a characteristic that ups SPAtk(i currently training one) would be good if you want to replace one, but i keep it same and here some move changes which will help, have Dragonite or Starmie learn Rain Dance(it ups power of water moves and ups the accuracy of electric move)your choice and teach Raichu Thunder it suits it better since it's a SPAttacker.

I'd consider forgetting Raichu's Sweet Kiss (since it's more of a Pachirisu move) and let it know Thunder since it's 120 power, plus teach Gyarados Rain dance so Thunder will always hit :)

I'm a she. -_- But yes, I wanted at least one electric move on all the pokemon.

I was actually thinking of replacing Persian with Gengar, since it can learn an electric move also...
