Besides, Electrode is too...plain and simplistic for my tastes...

Electrode's awesome, but Magnezone definitely wins in terms of usability.

Electrode is incredibly fast. And a ball. He was my third best pokémon in XD. So I vote him.

Electrode FTW. Magnezone may be powerful, but Electrode is fast and strategic(i.e. Mirror Coat).

Magnezone definitely. I like its design of a UFO who can attract things to it (in this case, metal), and that red eye of doom is so awesome! Not to mention Electrode cannot do much to Magnezone except outpace it with some status moves like Taunt, but Electrode's fine also, just I like Magnezone more.

I never really used either, but I prefer Magnezone. Its design is cool (it's a ufo!) and it has one of my favorite cries ever.

Magnezone, as I actually like its design, unlike its pre-evolved forms'. Electrode is boring and has bad stats in everything but Speed.
