Don't call it Techno.

Anyways, it's always a good idea to not stretch cold muscles. Let's warm things up a little bit:

Let's crank it even further:

Let's switch genres:

Some more from mayhem:

Let's try some obscure off beat stuff (bastard/plunderphonics):

And, let's have some soft stuff:

Anyways, music plays a VERY big part of my life. If I were to die a virgin, ok, as long as I'm listening to music I like. When I find a new artist I like, I stop eating, and go into a state of euphoria for a day or two.

I like all variations of electronic music, ALL of it.

I also kind of like other music, but hardly.

I don't know too much about most styles of electronic music, but I stumbled upon this record from last year and it is quite good:

All kinds?
I'd like some choice names/labels, just to know who I'm talking to here. It would be kick-a*s if there was somebody else on this forum just as obsessed with electronic music as me. I might just be the go-to kid for some of the more obscure stuff, It would be great if somebody else was just as interested.

I'm a rather big fan of Daft Punk, but I have not yet gone beyond that. Any suggestions on what to pick up?

I don't really hate all electro music seeing as some pretty cool beats can be created out of it, although I loathe Techno music...every time I hear Sandstorm I wanna blow my brains out.

I mostly listen to rock, but I do enjoy some electronic music. Also, electro rock is awesome.

...Okay, I was probably being a little bit too enthusiastic there, but I, too am a faithful worshipper of electronic music, especially the off-kilter. (The mainstream stuff's insipid, if you ask me) I love all kinds of weird stuff, from albums time forgot (I have an album of music Sabastian Boaz recorded prior to Warm Feeling, and I'm trying to get my hands on some pre-Very Pleasure Duran Duran Duran) to the historically important (90's era Warp releases, John Oswald releases) to the just plain out there(a truckload of selections from the Australian and Japanese underground)
I would suggest:
Suzuka
Suntra
Saskrotch
I Broke My Robot
Rank Sinatra
Di-Bit
F**k Buttons
I, Cactus
Kid 606
There are many others, but I do suspect I'm getting ahead of myself...

Yes, all kinds. Even noise, dark ambiance, and the generally "socially unacceptable" music.

Even stuff like Passenger Of Shit:

What a beautiful cacophony.

Anyways I listen to mostly indie stuff. Musicians that you've never heard of most likely.

Here are some artists:

Black Moth Super Rainbow
Breakmaster Cylinder/Spasmodic Symmetry
DM DOKURO
DeKs
The Eyes, They See
mrJames
mrSimon
niceplum
Aphex Twin
Corvus Corax
Corvus Cornix
Gabber Neo Fresno
Nad Rickle
Ophios
Venetian Snares
Renard Queenston (Specifically Mayhem, Adraen, The Quick Brown Fox, Renard)
SABAOTH
Sawtooth
The Flashbulb

These are the artists that I mostly listen to. However, If you post ANY electronic song, even ear rape, terrorcore, classic (AKA repititive AKA shitty) Speedcore, anything, I WILL like it.

minus Happy Hardcore. -shudders-

Well, you have a very good taste in music. It was good the first 200 times, but not after that. Not excluding My Shooter.

I love electonic music! I'm a big fan of DJ Tiesto and Ferry Corsten...they are so awesome!

I love electronic music, but I really don't know the first thing about it. I know the sounds that I like, but I never know which genre they would fall under.

I always thought that some of the songs on DDR were really catchy. Would they be considered electronic?

Anyway, here are some songs that I've liked:

Not sure if these would be considered generic/crap, but I love them. Maybe you guys can give me some recommendations...?

Two of my best friends adore Sandstorm. Last time I was in a car with them, they were listening to it and dancing in the backseat so much the car practically fucking shook. And I almost got a migraine because the song fails so much.

Buuuut I digress. I despise techno, which I think is a different thing entirely from electronic music. But even though rock music is where my heart truly lies, electronic music does tend to be a guilty pleasure for me. Some of it is pretty bad, but there's also some great stuff out there.

Finally, someone else who dislikes it when others refer to all electronic music as "electro".

Anyways, the electronic music I'm into is more hellrave style.
Industrial, Harsh EBM (Electronic Body Music), Aggrotech, Powernoise and Synthpop are some of the genres I listen to.

I'm also into some hardstyle, drum&bass and dubstep.

I enjoy very little actual techno, because I find it to be boring and bland. Plastikman is pretty decent though, and I enjoy some of his works.

MMMMM, yes. Dubstep is a funny genre to me. If it has a snare drum beat on the third beat of every measure, then it's dubstep, and granted there are some exceptions to that. Dubstep is a HUGE genre. There's so much variation in it. It can be very good, but Dubstep ain't for me.

I do like DnB.

And techno sucks balls. Especially Sandstorm. Disgusting.

But I digress; DnB is very good. Look:

:3

Actually, I should take some time to say, that I don't necessarily like Genres; I connect more with Artists. I could like DnB from one artist, then not like most other DnB songs.

Hell, if you like this stuff, then it's k. I'm listening to the first song right now, and I love it. It's mellow, and relaxing. My only problem with it is if you're going to have lyrics in a song, they should be the most important part.
