This is a little original fic I've been working on, it's basically a fighting fic.

The story centers around Drake Blaze a half American half Japanese teenager from Tokyo who discovers he has the tendency to fight against anyone that challenges him him but the shocking news are that there's actually a whole secret society of fighters who can control different kinds of elements. Now it's time for Drake to embark of his chance to become the greatest fighter of them all.

The fic has the setting of most fighting fics which would be Japan and the chapters take place in Tokyo to be more specific.

Chapter 1: Rise from the Ashes

“So you came after all, I guess you’re not cowards then,” the voice of a teenage voice came from the middle of the metallic warehouse, which seemed old and worn down, signifying that no one has used it in a long time, there were a bunch of boxes all around the house, there were metallic poles to hold the roof. “I just hope you brought the money as well,” he grinned, brushing his fiery red hair, he was wearing a blue long sleeve jacket with a red shirt that had the word “Rebel” on it, he was wearing a pair of blue jeans that could touch the floor and a pair of sneakers; he also had a pair of red eyes and a cell phone hanging from his pocket.

“Yeah, but we had no need to, you’ll be the one paying us,” a guy walked into the warehouse, he was wearing a black long sleeve uniform with a pair of black pants and a white undershirt. He had a long black hair that got to his waist, beside him were three other guys wearing the same uniform, but one of them was bigger and mostly muscle while the other one didn’t have sleeves in his and had a spiky hair; also holding a sadistic grin. “Or you can give up,”

“What a cowardly move, you brought back up, I thought you were a man Kairo,” the teenager assumed a fighting stand and signal the others to come at him. The two that were besides Kairo charged at him, both of them aiming for his face as they clenched their fists and prepared to hit, the teenager caught the big guy’s fist and kneeled down to get a good punch on his ribs, only to be hit from behind by a metal stick by the thinner lackey. “Bastard,” he grunted, the big guy punched him on the face and made him fall to the floor.

“See, you can’t go against all of us,” Kairo chuckled walking over to the teenager. “So Drake, what’s it gonna be?” he asked with a smirk that would just make a person mad. Drake got up and raised his head, smiling.

“Know what, I’m actually glad, I’ll thought it’ll be a boring fight,” he chuckled and stepped forward clenching his right fist as he punched Kairo on the left cheek, then he kneed him on the gut getting him to let spit out from his mouth. “Your little lackeys don’t change the fact that you’re weak and a coward.”

“You better not talk about our boss in that tone,” the big guy said prepared to strike but Drake dodged his fist and hit him on the face with his elbow. “What.” He grunted falling down and hitting the floor with a loud thud.

“You’re big, but that makes you slow and a burden to everyone,” Drake told him, turning to look at him with a serious look, the thinner one was about to hit him with the metal stick againt, Drake was hit on the back but tried to hold on as he grabbed it and used it to hit him on his balls making him scream out of agony. “And you’re just pathetic,” Drake punched him almost breaking his jaw as he made him fall to the floor. “Neither of you are real fighters, you just hide under the title.”

“Please, this is the money I’ve been saving from my allowance,” Kairo begged trying to get away from Drake, Drake just grabbed him by the neck of his uniform and lifted him.

“Guess what, I don’t give a shit, you shouldn’t have put it on the line in the first place if you knew you were gonna lose,” he looked into Kairo’s pocket and took the money out, then gave him the pleasure of knocking him out as well. “Sweet dreams dumbass,” he chuckled throwing the roll of money up and down as he turned to leave. “Another sucker bites the dust, I’m definitely the best.”

He heard the door of the warehouse opening and looked at the person that walked in ready to fight in case it was another opponent. “What the hell?” he exclaimed as he looked at the girl that came into the warehouse, she was wearing a white short sleeved uniform shirt with a short skirt that had blue polka dots, a long pair of black socks and a pair of black slippers. She had a long blue hair that went down to her waist and was tied up at the end of it, and a pair of crystalline blue eyes, and a B cup; she was holding a bag on her left hand, although from what Drake could notice it was probably a wooden sword of some sort. “A girl, you know, you should get away from here it’s dangerous.” Drake walked towards her.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I always train here,” the girl said with a cold tone, actually there was really nothing in her words just cold and empty. “Would you mind taking your fights somewhere else.”

“What, this is my fighting ground, listen get another training place because this is occupied,” Drake argued crossing his arms; he really didn’t want to fight a girl, but he was serious about getting her out of his fighting grounds.

“And what if I don’t?” the girl asked raising an eyebrow.

“Listen,” Drake put his hand on her shoulder making her grab it with her left hand and twist it. “What the…” before he could finish the girl punched him on the gut and sent him crashing to one of the steel posts that kept the place balanced, Drake patted his head and tried to get up which was hard from the blow he just took.

“So, are you willing to leave properly,” she assumed a battle stand.

“Like hell,” Drake charged forward holding his fist forward; not caring if she was a girl anymore as he prepared to strike, the girl looked a water tank that was next to her, suddenly the cap of the tank opened up and a whip of water came out and hit Drake on the face sending him crashing to the wall and knocking him out.

‘Wrong choice,” the girl just shook her head as the whip fell to the ground and splashed.

***

Drake opened his eyes slowly, looking around at his surroundings. “What happened?” he asked and noticed some oddly strange, that he was looking down at the floor. “Wait a sec,” he looked around and noticed that he was hanging from the roof, he had been tied around in a rope and was put hanging on a small hanger that was on the roof; how he didn’t know, and frankly didn’t care he only cared about getting down. “No fair, how could I be knocked out by a girl, it’s just a bummer, and how the hell will I get out!” Drake yelled, noticing his hands were closed to his pockets so he could get them in there. “And the money’s gone too!!” he pouted.

***

The next day Drake was at school trying to stay awake as he looked at his teacher talking about some kind of old myth. Drake was wearing his school uniform which was a short sleeved white shirt that was normally wore with buttons, but Drake had taken his out so that the neck of the shirt could stay open, he was also wearing a pair of brown pants and brown shoes. “This sucks,” he looked out the window, thinking about what happened the day before and how that girl had knocked him out, something that barely anyone managed to do.

“So, as the myth says, a long time ago during a time of war there was a group of warriors with special abilities,” the teacher started explaining to the class; who all turned around to look at her. “This warriors were said to have the ability to control the elements, water, lightning, fire, earth and wind, armies used this warriors to their advantage by having them control the water, or simply to hit their enemy without them even noticing,” she started writing on the board.

A girl turned to look at Drake, she had a long brown hair, it wasn’t that long since it only reached her neck, she had a pair of brown eyes and a tender white skin, and a C cup. She was wearing the girl’s school uniform which consisted of a white short sleeved shirt with a small bow tie and a red skirt, along with a pair of long socks and black shoes. “Hey, wake up idiot,” she hit Drake’s head with a book so that he would wake up from his sleep. “You’re not listening again, what did I said to you about that.”

“What, it’s just a boring class hour, I have more important things to worry about,” Drake rolled his eyes and looked out the window, getting the girl to hit him again. “Bright, would you stop doing that.” He grunted turning to look at Bright; who was glaring at him.

“As the class president I can’t let any of the students in my class slack off, you have to shape up Drake,” she pointed out wagging her index finger at him. “Plus, what are those important things, fighting with a group of gang members or something again; you should really spend your free time doing something less dangerous.”

“It gives him enough money so why not,” a boy that was sitting behind Bright exclaimed, the boy had a spiky brown hair with a more tanned skin, and a pair of mischievous eyes. He was wearing the boy’s school uniform, except his had the buttons. “Didn’t you have that fight with the guys from Akamatsu yesterday?” the kid asked.

“Would you stop praising him Daichi, it is dangerous and he could get hurt,” Bright scolded him from trying to make Drake feel better, and basically stopping her from making her point. Bright just turned to Drake, who had gotten serious all of a sudden.

“Yep, I won, but then this girl came in,” Drake said with an unknowing grin as he looked out of the window again. “She was strong, and she knocked me out and next thing I knew, I was hanging from the roof without the money.” He nodded his head and turned to look at his friends. “That’s why I’m so sleepy; it took me two hours to get myself down, and one more hour to actually recover from the fall.” He frowned remembering the pain from the fall; he was wondering why he hadn’t died to begin with.

“Wait, so basically, you’re saying you got beat up by a girl,” Daichi started laughing hysterically which got the teacher to scold him so that he would shut up. “I didn’t know the all so called champ Drake Blaze could be beaten by a girl,” he was still laughing but not as loud.

“Now you’re even fighting a girl, that’s pathetic,” Bright shook her head in disapproval. “I just can’t believe you stood so low,” she glared at him with sheer anger.

“She was a strong girl, and I underestimated her too, something weird happened back there I know it,” Drake inflated his cheeks as the bell rang, making lunch period start. “Anyways, I’m going to eat,” he grabbed a bento that was under his desk and walked out of the class room.

Drake was on the roof of the school as he looked down at everyone that was in the front yard talking or going out to eat outside. “There’s just no way,” he sat down on a bench, his bento next to him as he started thinking of the fight he had the day before. “There was something, something…that’s it.” He remembered, when he was charging forward, something strange hit him, a whip or something. “Yes, it was some kind of whip made out of water, now this is freaky.” He looked at the bento and smiled. “Well who cares, time to eat,” he opened the bento and started eating like there was no tomorrow.

“Do you have any matters to begin with,” Drake looked over at Bright who had just walked onto the roof and walked towards him. “I mean, even if you are alone it doesn’t mean you have to eat like that, why do you eat here anyways.”

“If there’s anyone in the school that wants to fight, I can just fight here, it’s handier and teachers won’t suspect,” Drake explained a fried shrimp hanging from his mouth while he talked.

“Why fight to begin with?” she asked sitting down next to him.

“Why care about me to begin with?” Drake asked looking at her with an annoyed look. He really didn’t want to explain anything to pride, because they’ll just end up fighting all over again.

“We’ve been friends since we were babies, and we have a lot in commons,” Bright smiled, a cheery smile to try and see if he talked to here.

“Our race is the same, that’s the only thing we have in commons,” Drake frowned, since both he and Bright were half Japanese and half American, explaining their names, Drake Blaze and Bright Hikari. “So, we don’t really have that much in common.”

“You’re stubborn you know that,” Bright inflated her cheeks and exchanged looks with Drake. “I remember last time I asked you, you said it was just something you had to do.” Bright shrugged.

“And that’s what I say now, fighting’s in my blood I just can’t shrug it off so easily,” Drake turned away to look down the fence. “That’s it, I’m going back to the warehouse today and get my revenge on that girl,” he clenched his fist while having an irritated look.

Bright just sighed; not believing that Drake would actually be serious on fighting against a girl. She walked over to him and patted his back. “I’ll go with you.”

“No way, you’ll just hold me back,” Drake shook his head.

“I’m not going to cheer you on, if I get see that the girl can’t fight and you still go on I’m gonna beat you myself!” Bright exclaimed making Drake moved away a little. “Am I making myself clear.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Drake put his hands in front of his chest to try and calm her down. Unfortunately he stretched his arms to much and ended up grabbing Bright’s boobs. “Not good,” Drake muttered while blushing as the sound of something cracking was heard from afar; so loud everyone that was back down could hear it.

***

Meanwhile on a tall tower a man was drinking a glass of wine while looking down at the great view of the city, he was standing in front of a giant glass window, he chuckled and put the glass down and went to sit down. “So, how are operations going,” then two people moved to his sides, one of them a man with a shaved brown hair, he was wearing a sleeveless jacket with a sleeveless white shirt under it, he had a bunch of scars on his face. The other one was a woman with a long white hair and wearing a green top along with a pair of shorty blue shorts.

“Things are going well sir, most of the Crashers from the Kanto Region have been gathering around Tokyo just to join you.” The man said while keeping his bow as his boss turned to look at the girl.

“And what about you Arielis?” he asked as the girl raised her head.

“We have rounded up a number that would best fit our current situation.” She got up and took out a chart. “So far, sir Haru, you’re tied up with Raika when it comes to how many members you have, but Shadow’s still up top, most of the Crashers from all of Japan are with him.” Arielis explained as she put the chart away.

“Wait, take that out again,” Haru ordered as Arielis did what she was asked and brought the chart out once more. “What’s this sudden decrease of Crashers,” he asked since he noticed that his chart had gone down a little.

“You see, there’s this girl called Mizu, she’s a Water Crasher, we’ve been trying to get her to join us, but in turn she has defeated our members and refused every chance.” Arielis started explaining. “I’m afraid that if we let her continue she might be a burden to us.”

“Okay then, send Block to take care of her,” Haru shrugged her off and went back to drinking his wine. “Water and Ground never mix, that outta teach her not to mess with me.”

***

“You’re lucky I let you come with me,” Drake said while he and Bright were walking towards the warehouse passing under a small bridge that was over the street. “It’s my secret fighting place, don’t tell anyone about it and I won’t have to kill you,” he started explaining.

“I’m so scared,” Bright rolled her eyes as the two finally made it. “How do you even know if she’s in here?” she asked curiously as Drake just opened the door.

“She said it was her training place, so I just figured,” Drake shrugged and went in. “Someone here?” he asked as he saw the girl step out, holding her wooden sword.

“Oh, it’s you again,” she put the sword back and then looked over at Bright. “Did you bring your babysitter with you?” she asked still with an empty tone on her voice.

“Why you, Bright’s just some girl,” Drake exclaimed getting Bright to frown from his comment. “I came to get my rematch, last time I wasn’t paying attention.”

“Last time or this time, there’s no way you can beat me,” the girl shook her head and turned around. “It’ll be best if you didn’t get involved in what doesn’t concern you, there’s a whole other world you don’t’ even know about,” she turned half her face around so that she could see Drake and Bright.

“Fuck it, I’m going.” Drake started charging forward, ignoring Bright’s please as he held his fist back and threw it forward, only to have it being caught by the girl. “What the hell.” He exclaimed and took a kick to the gut, which made him spit out blood and sent him to the floor.

“See, you’ll just lose, so give it up,” she turned around but Drake just got up and ran again. ‘You’re an idiot,” she turned around and both fists collided getting her to put a shock face. “But how.”

“Guess you’re not so strong after all,” Drake grinned and finally managed to get a hit on her gut, getting her to crouch down in pain. “This is what happens when you mess with the…” then a whip made out of water appeared from the tank next to him and slapped him. Drake managed to stay awake this time though. “See, I told you, it’s a freaking whip made out of water.” He exclaimed as the whip just tried again, tying itself around Drake. “Shit.”

“No way,” Bright looked at the girl who was getting up, and had her hand raise. “Could she be, no way.”

“What damn it?” Drake grunted while being squeezed with the whip.

“Today’s class was talking about soldiers that used to battle in wars, they were able to control the elements and use them to their advantage, maybe It wasn’t a legend after all.” Bright explained as she looked at Drake.

‘First, why talk about myths in history class, second how the hell do I get out of this!” Drake yelled as he felt the air in his body leave him.

“You actually made me use my element.” The girl raised her head and wiped some blood off. “But that girl’s right, my name’s Mizu Izumi, and I’m a direct Water Crasher” Mizu looked at Drake and let him go. “I see that now you know the differences between us are far greater than what you expected,” she turned around.

“No way,” Drake grunted while struggling, but Bright stopped him from getting up so that he wouldn’t get hurt. “I’ll learn to do that thing, and then I’ll beat you,” he looked at Mizu with a determined grin.

Mizu just shook her head and got out of the warehouse. “You’re an idiot,” Bright sighed and tended to Drake’s wounds.

“I gotta follow her, see what she does,” Drake got up and started following Mizu, in turn being followed by Bright.

Mizu was walking along the street, it was dark so there was no one around; she looked around, feeling a presence get near her as she walked into a dark alley. “You can come out now,” she turned around to look at a huge muscular man with spiky brown hair, wearing a white fur jacket with a black shirt and a pair of torn pants. “I’m guessing Haru Gust sent you.”

“The boss doesn’t want you meddling with his plans, so either join or go little miss,” the man chuckled as he got closer to where Mizu was.

“How about fight,” Mizu charged at him and kicked him on the ribs, her speed was amazing for anyone that saw it, the man tried to get a punch in but she managed to dodge it and got behind him, she took out her wooden sword and hit the man on the head as she landed on the floor. “Easy,” she put her sword back and turned around in shock as a rock smashed straight against her face, making blood come out and her jaw crack a bit as she fell back. “Damn it,” she said while spitting blood out.

“Thought you’ll get me so easily,” the man got up while chuckling, five rocks circling around him. “Guess what girlie, I’m an Earth Crasher, so get ready.” He laughed and sent two rocks at her.

Mizu took out a water bottle and opened it to create a water whip so that she could block the rocks. The man just lifted his fingers along with the rocks as they dodged the whip and crashed against Mizu’s ribs and right leg. “I’m Block, one of master Haru’s finest members,”

“Finest, and how, you tricked me by making me think you were weaker,” Mizu spat more blood out from her mouth. “You’re a coward,”

“Shut up,” Block shook his head and hit Mizu with another rock, making her fall to the floor. “Now, let me finish my job.”

“No way steroid breath,” Block turned around only to receive a kick to the face by Drake as he stepped back. “Hey Mizu, you’re not letting this guy beat you right, because that’s my honor,” Drake grinned while Bright walked over to Mizu to help her out.

“I don’t need your help,” Mizu grunted as she tried to shrug Bright off.

“No way, you’re hurt, just stay back,” Bright said as she started to help her up. “Drake let’s go.”

“No way,” Drake started running with his fist ready as he tried to hit Block, Block just sent a rock straight to his gut, making him stop dead on his tracks as Block punched him on the jaw then kicked him on the same spot the rock crashed.

“A simple human can’t fight against a Crasher,” Block chuckled as he threw Drake to the floor. “Especially some high school hotshot.”

“Don’t be an idiot, he’ll kill you!” Mizu exclaimed after seeing Drake getting up, which was actually surprising. “You’ll just die if you keep fighting you dumbass.”

“So what,” Drake exclaimed, getting everyone to gasp as he just let the blood run down his mouth. “If I’m gonna go down, I might as well go down fighting right,” he chuckled and clenched both of his fist. “So come at me all you want block head.”

“You little bastard, I’ll send you to hell if that’s what you want!” Block sent all five rocks hurdling over to Drake as he covered his face. Then the sound of something melting was heard as everyone gasped. Drake opened his eyes, with a surprised face. There was a ring of flames surrounding his body as the rocks were caught and were melting. “No way.”

“What’s this?” Drake asked himself as he raised his hand and clenched it, this extinguished the flames. “No way,” he smiled.

“Wait, is it possible?” Bright asked Mizu.

“It’s almost impossible that he’ll actually be a Crasher, but a Fire Crasher, those are a rare sight,” Mizu still had her surprised face as she just looked at Drake.

“Guess the field’s even now.” Drake chuckled as he looked at Block.

“That don’t mean nothing, I can still beat you!” Block created more rocks as he threw them at Drake straight forward.

“Okay, power of flames heat of desire, come to me,” Drake opened his eyes wide as he created a ring of flames around his body that blocked the rocks. Then he started running forward, the ring moving along with him. Block started throwing more rocks but to no avail. “I can see them,” Drake dodged one. “They’re slower…no, I’m faster.”

He finally got in front of Block. “No way,” Block gasped.

“Now I got you,” Drake held both of his fists back. “Burning fist barrage,” he started punching Block like there was no tomorrow, and at a speed that made him impossible for him to react, Block just kept receiving the punches as blood started to come out. Finally with one last punch Drake took him down. “You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall,” Drake laughed.

“I can’t believe I,” Bright smiled as Drake walked towards the two girls. “You’re a real idiot.”

“What can I say, it’s my thing.” Drake looked at Mizu. “See, I told you I’ll become a Crasher.” He laughed while giving her a victory sign.

“Whatever, you still don’t know anything about Crashing,” Mizu got up holding her hand closed to her ribs. ‘But I guess I owe you one for saving me, so I’ll explain it to you if you come with me.”

“Deal,” Drake gave her a thumb up.

***

“Master Haru?” Arielis walked over to Haru, who was playing on a pool table, he was wearing a long sleeved green jacket, and had a straight combed white hair along with a pair of green eyes to match. ‘We have received the word, that Block was defeated.”

“By Mizu?” Haru asked turning to look at Arielis.

“No sir, actually we don’t know who he is, there’s no data on him.” Arielis shook her head getting Haru to raise an eyebrow.

“How is that possible?” Haru asked.

“Our sources say, he just started Crashing today,” Arielis answered.

“Defeated by an ammature, I can’t believe it, unless…” Haru looked straight into Arielis face.

“Yes, it was revealed, that he’s a Fire Crasher sir,” Arielis nodded her head.

Haru started laughing as he leaned on the pool desk. “This is good,” he grabbed one of the balls. “Why don’t we try to see how far this kid gets, before we crush him, we can’t have anybody with that kind of talent taking over now can we.”

***

“The seal has broken.” Drake turned around, thinking he had heard someone talking to him.

“Hey Drake, hurry up!” Bright called out, she and Mizu were a few meters ahead of him. “We’ll leave you behind if you don’t.”

“Oh, sorry,” Drake laughed and started running so that he would catch up.

Chapter 2: Light your Way

“So, you not only lost to a rookie, but a rookie that just learned how to crash while fighting against you,” Haru exclaimed while Block was bowing to him with a sorry look on his face. Haru got up from his sit and looked out the window. “You know what we have here Block?”

“The city?” Block asked rather reluctantly.

“No you block head, a kingdom just waiting to be taken down.” Haru raised his hand and clenched it as hard as he could. “That’s an Element Crasher’s destiny, to govern over all!” he exclaimed. “So, if you can’t defeat a measly peasant, then how can I trust you to be in my army.”

“I said I was sorry,” Block begged.

“Begone,” Haru waved his hand at him with an uninterested look on his face. “You’re not part of my Four Devas any more, you lost your spot to that kid Drake.”

“But.” Block was stopped by Haru’s right hand Takage, who hit him with a rock behind the head, this made him lose consciousness.

“Wise move sir, we don’t need to Earth Crashers in the group,” Takage shook his head. He then looked over at Haru. “So, shall I go stop this kid?” he asked with a smug on his face.

“No, I already have someone ready,” Haru shook his head; noticing Takage just wanted a chance to impress him. “He’ll give that kid the perfect punishment.” He chuckled.

Meanwhile Drake, Mizu and Bright were all in Mizu’s house after the fight with Block Mizu took them there to tell them all about Element Crashing, or at least what she knew about it. Her house looked like an old style Japanese house even having its own fountain on the back. “So, are you gonna tell us?” Drake asked after they sat down on the floor.

“Don’t be so rude,” Bright elbowed his ribs getting Drake to wince in pain. Mizu just sighed. “I’m sorry, he really needs to learn to behave.” She frowned towards Drake.

“Want some tea?” Mizu asked while getting up and walking out of the room, leaving Bright and Drake alone.

“So, what are you gonna do now?” Bright asked Drake.

“Isn’t it obvious, learn how to do this Element Crashing thing and beat the snot out of people,” Drake laughed while ruffling the back of his head, meanwhile Bright was giving him an annoyed frown.

“Is everything about violence with you!” Bright yelled getting Drake to fall down on the floor. “You’re something you know that,” she got up and crossed her arms. Drake meanwhile had a happy grin on his face. “What is it?” she asked.

“They’re pink,” Drake answered while still having the grin.

Bright clenched her fists while looking at the floor. “You perv!” she yelled and started to kick Drake; although Mizu got back into the room just in time.

“Am I interrupting something?” Mizu asked while holding a tea pot and a few cups in her hands. Drake and Bright shook their head as they sat properly again. ‘So, back to what we were talking about,” Mizu sat down and started serving the tea.

“Yeah, explaining everything you know about crashing,” Drake said while nodding his head.

“Oh right,” Mizu nodded her head while drinking some of her tea, then she put it down and sighed. “Well, you know the basic concept of it, supposedly it was only a myth, you know people able to control elements, truth is that it wasn’t.” she started explaining. “Element Crashers have been around for a long time, not just here but all around the world as well.”

“Wow, that means there’s a lot, so how come no one knows about them?” Bright asked after some time; if Element Crashing had been around for a long time then why was it still secretive.

“The abilities are passed down to certain individuals by heritage, it might even skip a generation or two so it goes extent from that time on,” Mizu answered. “Back to the story, there are three levels to Element Crashers, the first level is the normal one, just crashing your element and learning how to combine it with physical power, the second level is when you are in total balance with both your mind and body and are able to control your element to perfection,” she raised to fingers for each step. “And then there’s the third, when you become so strong your able to control the weather or even cause natural accidents just by thinking it, some people say there hasn’t been a crasher able to do that in centuries.”

“Wow, that’ll be so cool you know, being so strong you can actually do that,” Drake had a bright smile on his face, much to Bright’s discontent.

“No it isn’t if it falls into the wrong hands it could end badly for the world,” Bright argued. “It’s really dangerous.”

“Yeah, yeah, anyways, what about fighting, how hard is it to control someone’s element?” Drake asked rather eagerly.

“It depends on you actually,” Mizu explained. “You are able to control your element in the sense that you can do the basic thing with it, but you’re still not able to change movements or combine your element with your physical strength like me.” Mizu nodded her head.

‘Come on, I’ve only seen you do that whip thing,” Drake frowned; thinking Mizu was just trying to make herself look cool.

“You haven’t seen the extent of my full power, I didn’t use it against Block because he took me by surprise, if not I wouldn’t have needed your help,” Mizu corrected him while raising her finger. She turned to look at her clock. “I think that’ll be it.”

“Wait, that doesn’t really answers that much?” Drake got up to look at Mizu from a different perspective. “You didn’t explain anything at all.”

“The less you know about the situation the better, I suggest you just forget about this and stay out of it, they know about your fight with Block and if you don’t stay out then they’ll come for you.” Mizu got up and glared at Drake.

“Who are they?” Drake asked a serious look on his face as he clenched his fists.

“We should go, thanks for everything,” Bright got up and started pushing Drake outside, without him wanting to of course. “See ya soon.”

“Wait what are you doing Bright I wasn’t done!” Drake exclaimed trying to get away from Bright’s hold.

“Yes you are, Mizu’s right, we should just stay out of it, now get moving,” she pushed him outside of the house and waved at Mizu before she started pushing Drake again.

Mizu just waved and then turned around; feeling some kind of unexpected presence, when she turned around no one was there.

“That was really not cool,” Drake frowned not turning to look at Bright at all while the two were walking. “This Element Crashing thing could prove worthwhile, think about all the people I could fight,” he protested although Bright didn’t really say anything.

“Actually, that’s what I don’t wanna think about; you should listen to Mizu and not get involved!’ Bright exclaimed almost yelling, but since it was dark she didn’t want to cause a fuss. “So just drop it.”

“Oh come on, even you gotta admit I looked pretty cool back there,” Drake laughed and turned to look at Bright; now it was she was dodging his looks. “Plus, what if that ever happens again, I may not get into it but that doesn’t mean they won’t come to attack me, I think I might at least learn to control it right.”

“I guess you’re right on that one,” Bright nodded her head; Drake did have a point, even if they didn’t get involved it didn’t mean that no one would actually let them get away with it. “Okay, but we’ll tell Mizu tomorrow to train you and no one but we should know about this.” She ordered.

“Not even Daichi?” Drake asked.

“Especially not Daichi, he’s your partner in crime if he were to know about this I’m sure he’ll make you change your mind about staying hidden!” Bright yelled, and immediately people came out to check what was going on, she just frowned and kept walking. “Anyways, I’m going, see ya tomorrow,” she said as she went one way of the fork while Drake just sighed and went the other way.

“Sometimes she just goes overboard,” Drake sweat dropped after seeing Bright’s antics. “Which is a real bother,” he sighed and started walking.

After a few more minutes Drake managed to reach his house, he opened the small metal gate in front yard and went into the house, not caring about closing the gate anyways; mostly because of the fact that it was so small that people could just jump it over any ways. “I’m home!” he yelled after getting into his house and clothing the door.

“Finally, you had me worried do you know what time it is,” Drake turned around to look at his mom, she looked to be around her mid thirties, she had a long fiery red hair kind of like Drake’s and a pair of brown eyes, she was wearing a white apron but under that she had a purple long sleeve shirt with a long brown skirt.

“Sorry, Bright and I had to…do some homework,” Drake nodded his head really fast hoping his mom would fall for it.

“You did homework?” his mom gasped getting Drake to frown a bit; truth homework wasn’t one of his strong subjects but was it that shocking. “Anyways, I’ll heat dinner up for you.”

“How was work?” Drake asked after walking to the living room and putting his backpack on the desk, he had to carry it around all that time. After he sat down and looked towards his mom he started thinking about crashing again, and that he probably shouldn’t tell his mom either, it would just be a little too much on the weird side and since Drake can’t control it yet he can’t really back it up if he can’t even make fire.

“It was good a lot of people came in today, I got a lot of arrangements for next week so you’ll be alone most of it,” his mom answered while she heated up Drake’s dinner, after a couple seconds she came back with a tray, a bowl full of rice on one side with a bowl full of curry on the other. “Eat up,”

“Awesome,” Drake grabbed a pair of chop sticks. “And, time to eat!” he exclaimed with happiness and started stuffing himself making his mom hit him upside the head.

“Even if it’s your house you still need to have manners young man,” she exclaimed wagging her finger at Drake.

“Now I get why I don’t like Bright, you two are so alike,” he sighed getting his mom to hit him upside the head again.

“What was that?” she asked.

“Nothing ma’m,” Drake chuckled and kept eating. “Hey mom?” he asked while still eating. “Has anyone in your side of the family have some kind of special talent?”

“Not that I remember, although the girls are good cooks,” his mom answered while nodding her head.

“Does anyone in dad’s family?” Drake changed the question after getting an answer.

“Not that I know of, most of his family’s in America so I don’t know much,” His mom shook her head now wondering why Drake was asking so many questions. “What with all the questions might I ask?” she got closer to Drake.

“Nothing, just want to know,” he chuckled and put the plates down. “Thanks for the food, I’m gonna go to my room now,” he grabbed his backpack and started running upstairs.

Drake was laying on his bed, he had changed from his school uniform and was now wearing a short sleeved red shirt with a pair of black shorts, he was throwing a soccer ball to the roof over and over; it was his way of thinking. “This crashing thing really could be a hard thing,” he said to himself as he looked up. “Not just that but if I can’t find a descendant then I won’t have prove, heck I may be the first crasher in my whole freaking bloodline to begin with.” He looked at his left hand.

“And there’s also,” he tensed up as he focused on his left palm, focusing on trying to summon a flame or anything at all. “Come on…” then a spark was created but as soon as the fire materialized Drake jumped and it disappeared. “Shit,” he grunted as he looked at the burn spot on his had. “I’m a Fire Crasher, how can I get burn from using fire, I guess without the proper training I’m still just a normal person playing with fire.” He sighed.

“I gotta tell Mizu tomorrow, to see if she can teach me.” He started throwing the soccer ball again and turned to look at a picture of his mom and his dad his mom was holding him in her arms he was at least a one year old when the picture was taken. “Where are you dad?” he asked himself; he never met his dad, according to her mom he disappeared mysteriously, at first he thought that he had abandoned them but no one in his family knew what happened, plus most people actually consider him dead. “Things would be a lot easier if you were here.”

The next day Drake was in class, actually paying attention in case his teacher might say anything about the Element Crashers again; she didn’t instead she decided to focus on World War II, which was still an interesting subject for Drake. “You’re actually paying attention?” Drake turned around to look at Daichi. “That’s a rare sight.” He chuckled.

“Well, World War II is rather interesting,” Drake laughed after looking at Daichu. “What is it?” he asked since he knew Daichi wanted to tell him something.

“I’ve been training a lot lately, so how about a rematch,” Daichi grinned, he and Drake were sort of sparring partners, or at least when they were kids now Drake has surpassed Daichi by far so much he’s basically just a training dummy for Drake by now.

“Well, I don’t…” he looked over at Bright, he didn’t want to cancel on her, and he really wanted to ask Mizu if she could teach him, but spending some time with his best friend was also good. “Yeah, sure why not.” He nodded his head.

“Hey,” Bright tugged on his shirt. “We have that thing, remember.” She grunted to try and make Drake understand.

“What thing?” Daichi gasped. “Are you too dating!” he exclaimed getting the teacher to shush him and everyone to laugh at him again.

“No!” Drake and Bright yelled making it their turn to be shushed. “It’s just we have something to do with someone,” Bright said while still blushing a bit from Daichi’s comment.

“Come on, we can do it tomorrow, I really want to see if Daichi really has gotten better,” Drake chuckled a bit.

“I guess,” Bright looked at Daichi, if Drake did start training then he would spend less time with Daichi, so it would be good for them to spend some time together now. “Okay, but don’t get in trouble okay.”

“Don’t worry mom, I’ll be fine,” Drake laughed getting Bright to frown. “Just kidding,” he smiled. “Okay then Daichi, after school we’ll go to our usual sight,” Drake gave him a thumb up.

After the final bell rang Drake and Daichi started running off towards their fighting spot, Bright decided not to go; considering she really didn’t care about what they did as long as they didn’t get in trouble. “You’ll see Drake, you won’t see what hit you.”

“Oh I beg to differ,” Drake laughed while the two were running like there was no tomorrow. After running for what seemed like ages Drake and Daichi got to the training spot. Before Drake opened though he started thinking if Mizu was training that day as well.

“What is it?” Daichi asked.

“Nothing, don’t worry.” Drake reassured and opened the door, surprised that Mizu wasn’t training on that day. “Okay then, I guess we’ll be okay.”

“From what?” Daichi asked.

“Nothing, nothing, anyways, let’s get ready,” Drake clenched his fist as he and Daichi walked to opposite sides. “Well, then let’s check it out.”

“I’ll show you,” Daichi started charging towards Drake holding his fist forward. Drake just moved aside, to him Daichi’s moves was like a snail trying to beat a rabbit in running. “Wait what?”

*My crashing abilities are acting up, I can see his punches clearer than ever* Drake thought as he moved back, then charged forward elbowing Daichi and making him crash with a few water tanks nearby. “You’ll need more than that to beat me man.”

“No shit,” Daichi got up while coughing since Drake had managed to leave him without any air. “When did you get so strong?”

“I guess you can say, I’ve got special talents,” Drake chuckled while holding his fighting stand. “Is that all.” He said with a confident grin on his face.

“Like hell I’m done, here I go!” Daichi yelled and started charging forward as fast as he could. “Let’s see how you handle me,” he exclaimed and prepared to throw a kick.

“Too easy.” Drake grinned.

***

“No fair,” Daichi grunted, Drake was carrying him back to his house, after spending two hours trying to defeat Drake in a fight, he only managed to scratch him a few times. “When did you get so strong?” he asked.

“Well…” Drake trailed off, trying to think of a excuse. “I eat a lot, and in turn I get a lot of energy, yeah that’s it,” Drake laughed nervously, hoping Daichi bought the excuse.

“Oh, that makes sense,” Daichi nodded his head while Drake was celebrating inside his mind; sometimes Daichi proved to be even dumber than him. “So, I’ll eat a lot and get stronger too.”
he said confidently.

“Don’t move too much or I’ll lose balance, so unless you don’t want to eat cement, stop moving,” Drake scolded as the two stopped when they saw someone in the way. “Excuse us.”

“No, you’re not excuse,” the person said, he was wearing a black cloak around his body. “Not unless you beat me that is,” he assumed a battle stand. “Drake Blaze, I challenge you.”

“Wait, are you?” Drake looked back at Daichi, if this guy was really a Crasher then how he could fight with Daichi watching him. “I’ll fight you later, now I need to take my friend home.” He answered and tried to pass him, only to be punched on the gut by the guy and be sent away a few meters; this in turn made him drop Daichi.

“I think not,” the man chuckled.

“Don’t worry about me Drake, just fight this idiot so we can go home,” Daichi grunted while getting up from the floor.

“That’s just it,” Drake gritted his teeth.

“Oh I see,” the guy started to take off his cloak to reveal a smug on his face, he had a face that just gave a bad vibe, a wicked one at that, he had his hair in a spiky form and a bit of black eyelash on his eyes. “You don’t want to fight because your friend doesn’t know about you, that’s sweet but Shadou Minami never gives up on a fight.” He chuckled. “So get ready!” he yelled and charged towards Drake preparing to throw a kick.

“Drake!” Daichi exclaimed as Drake was kneed on the gut making him spit out blood as he was sent crashing to the floor. “What was he talking about and are you okay?”

“Just, get home Daichi, I can take care of this guy,” Drake wiped some blood off, if he could only get rid of Daichi he would have a better chance of winning.

“Even if your friend left, you still can’t control your element,” Shadou chuckled and started walking towards him with a wicked grin. “So you’re done either way.”

“What’s he talking about?” Daichi asked again.

Drake didn’t wanted to break his promise to Bright about telling Daichi; but it was a situation that called for it, if he didn’t tell him then neither of them would get out of it alive. “I just found out, that I’m able to control the element of fire,” Drake explained. “It’s about what our teacher was talking about yesterday, a whole society of people able to control different elements, due to this my fighting abilities have gotten stronger than ever.”

“That’s cool!” Daichi exclaimed. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because of this, Bright said that if I told you then you’ll make me want to fight,” Drake explained, Daichi just shook.

“I wouldn’t, really, if it’s this dangerous why would I want my best friend to go through it?” Daichi nodded his head while smiling.

“Then that’s good,” Drake turned to look at Shadou. “Now that I don’t have that handicap, I can fight fairly.” Drake sprinted forward getting in front of Shadou in less than a second. ‘Take this!” he yelled and punched him making him move back. “Still up.”

“I guess I haven’t shown you my element,” Shadou grinned and opened his arms wide. “This is it,” he exclaimed. ‘Darkness!” he yelled referring to the fact that it was already dark out. “And you can’t beat me at night.”

“That doesn’t prove nothing.” Drake charged forward again and created a ring of fire around him. “Okay,” he stretched his hand and turned the ring into a fire ball, a fire ball that started to burn his hand. “Go!” he yelled and threw the ball at Shadou.

“That’s awesome,” Daichi gasped.

“But not good enough,” Shadou chuckled and created a small ball made out of darkness, the ball just collided with the fire ball and the two extinguished each other. “Now, die,” he ran at Drake and threw a punch forward.

“Not so fast,” Drake threw his own fist as the two crashed against each other producing a lot of energy in the process. “What?” before Drake could do anything Shadou hit his gut with his palm and his vision went black.

“Where am I?” Drake asked himself as he looked around; he was alone in a completely black space. “Hey what happened?” he started running but to no avail, there was nothing but darkness around him.

“Welcome to my world,” Shadou’s chuckling could be heard throughout the whole space. “A world of darkness that you can’t escape from.” He laughed maniacally. Then Drake felt something punch him, but when he turned to look there was nothing. “Did I mention I can just hit you without you doing anything.”

“That’s cheating!” Drake yelled angrily.

“No, I’m using my abilities to the fullest,” Shadou laughed while he kept his assault on Drake, making him lose more energy and confidence with every blow.

“Damn it, how can I beat him if I can’t get out of this place?” Drake grunted feeling blood starting to come out as he kept receiving the punching barrage. “I have to do something, somehow,” he shut his eyes and clenched his fist. “Wait, what Mizu said.” He started to remember, Mizu told him that he needed to keep balance between his element and body. “That’s true, I have to focus, I need more power, more fire.” Drake clenched his fists and closed his eyes.

“What’s all the pausing about, come on,” Shadou laughed as he waited for Drake to make his move.

“That’s it!” Drake yelled as a big explosion occurred.

Outside Daichi was astounded in front of him was a big black ball, a ball where both Drake and Shadou had disappeared through. “Wait, what’s that?” he asked noticing a small light, but when he got close the ball exploded and there was a ring of flames surrounding Drake and Shadou. “Drake, he really can control fire.” Daichi smiled.

Drake was grinning happily now as he looked at Shadou. “I finally managed to ignite my fire,” he chuckled and started walking. “You said you were using all of your power’s abilities, then you might as well be as weak as I am, if just a bit of my strength was able to take you out,” he grinned and kicked Shadou making him scream in pain.

“You’ll pay for that, Shadow Barrage!” Shadou yelled as five balls of darkness materialize and were fired towards Drake, but they disappeared before crashing. ‘What?”

“Darkness, it extinguishes when it collides with light, that’s what my flames did, they lit the darkness in your attack and canceled it.” Drake raised his hand and clenched it in confidence. “Now, you’re almost done for.”

“Not even, Super Darkness Barrage!” Shadou yelled and more balls of darkness were fired at Drake. Drake put his fist forward as it started to extinguish the darkness barrage.

“No way, that’s cool,” Daichi gasped as he looked at the fight.

“Now,” Drake put his fist back. “I’ll show you my true power,” he clenched his fists as it started to be surrounded by fire. “Here goes!” he yelled and started charging forward. Shadou tried to get away, but with a ring of fire behind him and Drake charging forward, he was trapped. “Here’s my first technique, Fist of Flame!” Drake yelled as he punched Shadou with all his strength not only punching him but burning him and sending him bouncing around the street as he crashed against the wall.

“That looked like it hurt,” Daichi winced, then the ring of flames disappeared and Drake fell to his knees. “Drake.” Daichi ran over to help him as he lifted Drake up. “That was awesome…your hand.” He looked at Drake’s right hand which was badly burn. “You gotta tend to it first,” he said.

“Don’t worry about it, it’ll heal,” Drake chuckled. “The excuse would be what I’ll say to my mom to hide this,” Drake chuckled.

“You’re really serious,” Daichi frowned a bit. “After all that you’re cracking jokes.”

“Someone has to,” Drake smiled and chuckled. “Although Bright would probably kill me when I tell her this.”

***

“Please, Mizu, we beg of you train Drake/me.” Drake, Bright and Daichi were bowing to Mizu while at her house three days after the fight with Shadou, Drake had managed to convince his mom that he had punched glass and that he got his hand bandaged; luckily she let him change his own bandages. “Please,” all three of them said, Bright wearing a pink top along with a black mini skirt and a pair of long black socks while Daichi was wearing a brown shirt with a pair of torn jeans, Drake meanwhile had a baggy red jacket on with a pair of jeans.

“Didn’t I tell you not to get involved,” Mizu scolded as all three of them jumped away.

“I’m sorry, but let’s face it, even if I don’t they’ll still challenge me,” Drake said while ruffling the back of his head and looking at Mizu.

‘Drake needs to control his powers if he wants to defeat challengers Mizu, please,” Bright begged as she bowed again.

“I guess,” Mizu looked at all three of them, the trio giving her puppy dog eyes. “Okay, I’ll teach you how to crash,”

“Yes, the puppy dog eyes never fail!” Drake yelled throwing his fist up in confidence. “Now I’ll be a crasher for sure,” he nodded his head.

“But if you’re gonna train, then you should know about how the Crasher world works.” Mizu said as she walked over to Drake. “And about Haru and his gang.”

“Haru?” Drake asked with a serious look on his face as tension started to fill the room.

The darkness element.... did always hated it. So cheap.

That must be an ugly sight to see: 3 teenaged boys giving a girl the puppy dog look.

Hey man, great beginning to the story. I'm hooked.

I like your dialog and the way what the character say really gives them a unique personality, especially Drake.

Only suggestion is to watch grammar/punctuation and maybe add some more detail, although it is a very enjoyable read so far!

Keep it up!
