Hello everyone. This is something I've been wanting to try for a while now. I mentioned in a previous thread of mine in Outside the Box that I play chess. And I've been wanting to try playing a game of chess here for a while now. So let us do battle on the checkered board!

Here are the rules:
  1. I will take the Black pieces. The first person to accept my offer of a game will take the White pieces.
  2. Use algebraic notation where possible to notate the move you'd like to play this turn. If you don't know how algebraic notation works there is a Wikipedia article for it here.
  3. The game will advance based on both players' availability.
  4. You have a time limit of 72 hours for each move. If you fail to make a move 72 hours after my move you will lose on time, and vice versa for me.
  5. Enforcement of rules like threefold repetition and the 50-move rule will be left to the players' discretion. For reference:
    1. Threefold repetition: Either of us may claim a draw if, at any point, the same board position with the same player to move occurs for the third consecutive time in the game.
    2. 50-move rule: Either of us may claim a draw if fifty move elapse with no pawn move or capture.
With that out of the way... to whomever wants to take command of the White army... it's your move.
