It's been a while since I played the first game of chess here on Bulbagarden. I took command of the Black army and squared off against @DawningWinds's White forces. The game ended in victory for me with checkmate after 34 moves. Now I'd like to get started on my second game. This time I will play White.
Here are the rules:
Here are the rules:
- I will take the White pieces. The first person to accept my offer of a game will take the Black pieces.
- Use algebraic notation where possible to notate the move you'd like to play this turn. If you don't know how algebraic notation works there is a Wikipedia article for it here.
- The game will advance based on both players' availability.
- You have a time limit of 72 hours for each move.
- I know that personal issues might keep you from moving on time, so if you miss the deadline I will grant you a 12-hour grace period. If you fail to make a move after the grace period you will lose on time, and vice versa for me.
- Enforcement of rules like threefold repetition and the 50-move rule will be left to the players' discretion. For reference:
- Threefold repetition: Either of us may claim a draw if, at any point, the same board position with the same player to move occurs for the third consecutive time in the game.
- 50-move rule: Either of us may claim a draw if fifty moves elapse with no pawn move or capture.
- Since @DawningWinds was my opponent in the previous game they may not take part in this game.
