So this is going to be the thread where I post anything that doesn't fit in my other threads. That's pretty much it.

To begin, here is a compilation of scrapped ideas from the development of the Poly Paxton AU:
OVERALL:

• I initially came up with height and weight figures for all of the characters, but around the time I wrote out Adam’s biography I decided they were unnecessary and removed them.
• The triplets originally had “Harmony” as their middle name after Paxton’s sister, but I decided Paxton would want to honour AZ instead.

PAXTON:

• When I was designing Paxton's casual outfits I came up with an all-white outfit that had a stylised drawing of Lumiose City on the shirt. However I later came up with the Shiny Zygarde design, which I considered superior, and the stylised Lumiose design was scrapped.

TAUNIE:

• The author’s note at the bottom of her biography states that in the Poly Paxton universe she did not become the CEO of Quasartico as in canon. I initially considered keeping this role for her, but excised it because it did not fit into the artist and family dynamic I had planned for the Tranmetsewlives.
• Taunie has two scrapped outfits to her name:
  • The first scrapped outfit was based on Jett and was essentially just Jett's outfit with the Quasartico logos removed. I scrapped it as I deemed it too unoriginal.
  • The second scrapped out gave Taunie a shirt divided into three vertical stripes of green, red and blue, and a pair of short divided into three vertical stripes of pink, orange and blueish-purple. The three stripes on the shirt were the colours of the Grass, Fire and Water types (referncing how Taunie was the original owner of the starter trio) and the three stripes on the shorts beared the colours of the Fairy, Fighting and Dragon types, which are the secondary types of Mega Meganium, Emboar and Mega Feraligatr respectively. The shoes were the grey of the Normal type. I honestly can't remember why I scrapped this outfit - maybe it just didn't vibe with me?

NAVEEN:

• For his art the purple stripes you see on his shirt were originally intended to be orange to match the colour of his original hair beads, but I decided as an artist he would want to go for a complimentary colour scheme.

LIDA:

• When I first wrote out Lida's biography she was initially not related to anyone. After thinking it over I decided to roll with the fan theory that Lida and Tierno are siblings. (This was before the true relation was revealed in the Mega Dimension DLC)
• The current logo for Zillions of Moves Dance School looks like a stickman waving two ribbons in a heart shape, but when I initially drew Lida the logo looked much different. The original logo looked like a stickman squatting while waving their arms - the legs looked like an M and the arms like a Z. However my beta reader pointed out to me that the logo looked like the stickman was squatting or... purging their bodily waste, so the original logo was scrapped. I came up with two more designs - a heart with ribbons wrapped around it and a stickman waving ribbons - and the stickman with ribbons logo became the final design.

SEINE:

• They were initially male, but were later changed to non-binary because I wanted to include another LGBTQ+ member of the family beside the parents.
• For their art I initially toyed with giving them long hair that extended down to the back of their neck like their parents, but I decided against it as it didn’t look non-binary enough for my liking.

NAISSA:

• She was initially male, but I changed her gender to female upon learning that “Naissa” is a female name.
• Her personality went through quite a few revisions. The first version of her I wrote as a dirt-loving tomboy akin to Lana Loud from The Loud House, but she turned into such a blatant copy of that character I had to scrap it. I also considered making her a martial artist, but decided against it (the idea would later be used for Adam).

ADAM:

• I initially planned to name him “Fukung”, derived from inverting the two words of kung fu, but I scrapped the name after realising it sounded too similar to a certain… other F-word. I also considered naming him “Wuxing” as a reference to the Wuxing Finger Hold from Kung Fu Panda, but I decided the reference felt too forced.

GEMINI:

• The accident that left her in a wheelchair originally happened when she was seven, but I decided that was too early in her life for her interests to develop as intended, so it was changed to happen when she was ten.

And those all of the scrapped ideas for the characters. Here are some scrapped ideas from the actual stories.

"A MORNING WITH THE TRANMETSEWLIVES":

• I initially planned to include Floette, but I wasn't able to figure out how to include her so her role was cut.
• Originally Naveen's lipstick was chocolate flavoured to set up one of the classic flavour triads (vanilla-strawberry-chocolate). However my beta reader pointed out that giving the dark-skinned Naveen chocolate lipstick could easily come off as racially insensitive, so Naveen's lipstick was changed to rum'n'raisin in the final piece.

"COMFORTING A CHALLENGER":

• There was originally going to be a scene where Adrien mentioned he lost to the Champion as a reason he was so upset and Paxton reminds him the even Champions lose too. I decided that a comment like this would probably upset Adrien further and I also wasn't sure how to write that scene, so it was scrapped.

"RAICHU'S ROUTINE CHECKUP":

• Originally I had Seine deliver the entire checkup, but that was changed as I decided it was unrealistic given that Seine is just a volunteer worker.
