About a week or so ago, my computer totally went nuts. I had my protection and everything up to date, everything working fine, no reason for alarm...and then it happened. All I did was leave my computer for a little while (I only had Paint open if I remember right) and...this error had surfaced on it's own.
Something about lost data? I don't remember it now because I didn't think much of it, but whatever it was, it mentioned something with Micro$oft I believe. I really remember that dollar sign. So...computer freezes when I try and click ok and I have to restart manually...except this time it goes into a restart loop and safe mode, last working session, etc. prove to be of no use.
I decide, fine, whatever, I'll recover it. I don't like a fresh start, but I'm not crying or throwing a fit. As long as my computer works, I'm happy. So I put in the CD and at first, it almost acted like it wouldn't take. It'd act all strange when it'd try and go through the steps and then, finally when the CD did take, it gave me this "please wait..." screen like it was busy getting stuff ready. So I left it alone for some time.
No matter how long you leave it alone, it doesn't do crap. I have no idea how I can force this thing to recover or anything. Is it just junk? I'm prepared to hear that, but I obviously rather not, it kind of sucks. So...anybody know what exactly happened or how I can at least make this thing work? It'd be nice not to have to buy one. Especially since my dad's (which I'm using right now) is having some weird issue with accessing even simple search sites like google and yahoo. I hate this computer and am worried since I have a bad feeling it's gonna go crazy on me as well.
