English dub of POKÉTOON short, “Diary of an Angry Primeape”, now available on YouTube

The English and other western dubs of the second episode of the second season of the POKÉTOON series have been released on the official Pokémon YouTube channels. Titled "Diary of an Angry Primeape", it features a boy observing his Primeape throughout the summer to find what will calm it down.

The English cast for this episode includes Brianna Knickerbocker and Bill Rogers.

Summer vacation brings an amazing adventure for a young Trainer and his friend Primeape! Noticing that Primeape is angry all the time, the boy begins an experiment to find out what—if anything—will help it calm down. In his observation journal, he records failure after failure, but he’s determined to keep trying until he finds an answer. Could there be a big breakthrough in store for the boy and Primeape as their summer continues?

The English YouTube channel had originally uploaded the 1:36-long cut used to promote the short on social media instead of the 10:16-long full episode. This has now been fixed.

This short has also been released in the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish.

The short was originally released in Japanese on September 25th, 2024. While this is counted as the second season of shorts, titled POKÉTOON 2024, on the Japanese channel, it was added to the same playlist on the English and western YouTube channels. Episodes from the second season originally had English subtitles added directly to the Japanese uploads.
