Thought #1: Epic Mickey? Is this about Kingdom Hearts?

Thought #2: Nah, probably not. There's more than one Mickey in the world

Thought #3: Cheese n crackers, that looks awesome.

Thought #4: Is that... Mickey Mouse? O.O

That looks absolutely amazing and trippy. XD If this turns out to be good, it's on the purchase list.

Its a small world seems to be in. Creepy singing robots in a creepy ink based Mickey game.
The haunted mansion is in and I wanna see how they'll do that one.
Fantasia ghosts. Fuck yes! Spooks from Chernabog seem to be in as well hopefully.
Is that the phantom blot or is it me?
Also Mickey seems more human shaped then mouse shaped.

Mickey looks different in that, very different.

Yeah, I don't think it's for the Kingdom Hearts series. Seems like a standalone. I think it's funny they decided to name it "Epic Mickey". Kind of a dumb name, but hey, like any good game really has a cool name anyway.

Isn't it Wii-exclusive? Since Mickey's holding a paintbrush (and kind of looks painted, in fact), maybe there will be some painting in this game, sorta like Okami?

This Mickey character doesn't seem to fit his personality elsewhere, though, so I'm interested to see what all of that's about. It looks nice! I like the art, anyway.

This is some fucked up shit. That's really all I can think to say.

The weirdest thing about the announcement is how its Wii exclusive.

My Wii has purpose again. Gritty, steampunk-y Disney game? Sign me up!

I wonder if this Mickey can out-awesome King Mickey.

This looks really awesome. Especially awesome for me, since I'm a huge Disney fanatic!

WOW! This game looks like it’s going to have a cool “mature” version of Mickey.

I’m really surprised that Disney would take that approach with their most iconic character.

Let’s just hope the game turns out good!

If it does I’m defiantly going to get this game.

So details of the plot are out:

* The sorcerer Yensid creates a flat Disney World for the forgotten creations of Walt Disney. The main one of these is Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, his first creation who was forgotten. When Mickey was young, he spilt paint thinner onto Oswald's world. This caused Oswald's world to turn into a nightmarish wasteland that the Phantom Blot takes over along with the other '30s and '40s forgotten Disney villains like the Mad Doctor. Years later, Mickey re-enters the world to find what he did. Oswald has become insane and jealous of Mickey, and has tried to ape Mickey's life by building robot duplicates of Mickey's friends like Donald and Goofy. Mickey gets a magic paintbrush that allows him to repaint Oswald's world as well as reminding him of his mischevious jerk side he had when he was younger, that he lost after years of success. Mickey has to fix Disney World, defeat the Phantom Blot and his mutated minions, restore his own lost personality, and restore Oswald to sanity.

... actually, I'm disappointed. for one... I really don't like those stupid wannabe scary things ie Nightmare before Christmas, etc, so this whole dark world thing looks really stupid imo. :/ and whoever brought up steampunk for some reason, well, I can't stand steampunk either -- I see nothing in it but ugly.
with the name Epic Mickey it looks like it'd be made for older people, but I don't see much appeal in anything but the painting part. everything sounds more like it's made for 8-12 year olds who do like that Tim Burton dark junk.

oh well, I don't even own a Wii anyway and don't really plan to so I suppose it makes little difference whether I like it or not. but even so, if I do by chance get a Wii I'm going to wait for screenshots and reviews before I even think about even renting it.

There's a reason why Specter is doing this. Cause he knows how to make good games for the older crowd. Specter doesn't do kids games period. And not to mention if you get a Burton feel from this if you read the stuff in the link in my post Specter intended for this to look like the bastard child of Burton and Disney.
