What two pokemon would you want to see have a battle? In other words, what pokemon would be a perfect match to have a really awesome battle in your opinion? Also state why, and who you think would win. For example:

I think that Magmortar and Electivire would have a really epic battle because they both seem equal in power, and look awesome and can learn cool moves. I think magmortar would win bevause his ability is flame body which can effect electivire, and electivire's ability is motor drive, and magmortar probably wouldn't know how to use an electric type move.

Post away.

Great post idea! :) I would always be a fan of a Infernape vs. Haxorus match. I think that would be a VERY intense match. Hopefully in the anime, Ash will get to battle a Haxorus with his Infernape sometime.
These kinda battles always keep me on my feet.

@Kakuna Matata and I hope to see a light saber-like battle of Leaf Blades between a Sceptile and a Gallade someday. Not that a battle between those two Pokémon is likely to happen, but it would be interesting. :p

Speaking of lightsabers, how about Lucario vs. Lucario with both of them using Bone Rush?

Hydreigon vs Haxorus.

I personally would love to see a match between these two, as they are both very powerful Dragon types. In a match between each other it all comes down to speed and power. Hydreigon has a slightly faster base speed stat than Haxorus (by 2 lol), so that could play a key role for Hydreigon to be victorious against Haxorus.

Haxorus has a ridiculous base Attack however and with a STAB Outrage Hydreigon is dust, but then again a STAB Draco Meteor from Hydreigon makes Haxorus toast lol. With just one hit both these Pokemon can 1HKO each other, so it depends on who gets the first hit, which in this case at a maximum speed scenario Hydreigon would probably win.

I also wouldn't mind a Gallade vs. Bisharp battle. Infernape vs. Toxicroak would be neat too.

Well, the Darkrai movie had the monkey vs Croagunk. That's close enough, right?

I say a fight between Houndoom and Absol would be absolutely amazing to watch.

Also, a fight between Dragonite and Hydreigon, because it looks like it would be a nice fight between benevolent dragon vs malevolent dragon.

I would love to see a showdown between Starmie and Slowbro/king.

They share some similarities: They're both Water/Psychic types, they have same Special Attack power and so on, but their speed and bulk are vastly different. Starmie would rely on its evasion and Light Screen for longer survival, but Slowbro/king's higher endurance and use of Trick Room could give it the edge. If Starmie knew Trick Room as well, both competitors would have to use the move wisely in order to gain the speed advantage.

How about a Eevee VS Shinx match?
OR
Blaziken VS Emboar match? Now THAT would be epic.

I don't think Starmie would ever use Trick Room, especially against the Slow family, it's just too fast. Starmie's lowest speed at level 100, with no EV investment and a hindering nature, is 239. Conversely, Slowbro/King's fastest speed, with 252 EVs and a beneficial nature, is 174. Even at it's slowest, Starmie still substantially outspeeds the Slowtwins at their fastest. In short, Trick Room is detrimental to most, if not all, Starmie.
