Okay. So, I'm planning my Halloween night viewing, and thought between the Tim Burton movies and Thriller I'd watch some Pokemon episodes with a sort of Halloween theme. I've already got the three Sabrina episodes, but are there any others with horror or supernatural type themes or that would just be good for Halloween? (No "the entire dub is scary" snarkiness, please.)

I have all the episodes up to the first Advanced boxset, either on my computer or on DVD.

Thanks!

"The ancient puzzle of Pokemopolis" from Kanto is a great one.

"A Ship full of Shivers" from the Orange Islands was also a nice ep about that ghost ship where Gastly/Haunter steal an old Orange league trophy.

There are other eps that were spooky that I'd mention, but they're from either late Hoenn, Battle Frontier or DP...and you apparently don't own those seasons so...

You've already mentioned a few of these, but here are some I thought of:

The Ghost of Maiden's Peak
Abra & the Psychic Showdown
The Tower of Terror
Haunter versus Kadabra
A Shipful of Shivers
Illusion Confusion
A Ghost of a Chance
From Ghost to Ghost

And I know you only have up to the first AG boxset, but there's also Take This House and Shuppet and Fear Factor Phony. Hope this helps!

The Johto ep "Just Waiting on a Friend" is kinda creepy, or it at least was when I was like 12.

There's three that pop into my head that haven't been mentioned:

-Illusion Confusion
-Just Waiting on a Friend
-Hocus Pokemon

Yes, they are all Johto episodes, but I remember these three had some sort of spooky theme to them.

EDIT: Crap, someone mentioned the first two when I was trying to remember the titles. Surprised no one had mentioned Hocus Pokemon though.

There's also BF's Fear Factor Phoney, with maybe DP's Malice in Wonderland and BD's The Keystone Pops. There's also the not-yet-dubbed Dusknoir episode It's Ghost Time After School, and the never-dubbed and hard to find Pikachu's Ghost Adventure. Basically, if it involves a ghost, it'll be more spooky-oriented, though obviously some more than others.

*Facepalms*

I forgot Ghost of Maiden's Peak. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

And now that I think of it "A Scare in the Air" would work as well. Haunter on the blimp, as well as Giovanni's implied attempted murder.

Does it matter if they're dub episodes? If not, I'd recommend "It's Ghost Time After School." Y'know, the Dusknoir episode.

Is that the one where Ash & co. appear at this house and there was this spooky woman? That's all I remember, it was a peculiar episode.

Yeah. It involved a Ninetales who was creating illusions while waiting for its long-deceased trainer to return to it. So there's a whole bunch of ghostly illusions, mysterious fog, and phrases like "stay with me forever" that always are in horror-y episodes.

What about Mewtwo Strikes Back...that has some super natural stuff in it, plus it's pretty dark. Also Entei's movie is kinna weird.

Halloween themed...disputable...but def the Indigo Ghost ones.

Wasn't there something else about a Duskull?

And I don't think the friendly Shuppet episode counts as a horror scary episode.

There was that one... 'Battling the enemy within' or whatever it was called, that was pretty scary. But you only have up to the first AG boxset, and that ones after that I think :|

The only one I can name that hasn't been already said, i.e. Maiden's Peak, the Sabrina saga, and Just Waiting on a Friend, and Pokemopolis (all those I'd have named), would be Pikachu Revolts. That episode was awesome and freaky as hell back when I first saw it.

Didn't Pokemon Shipwreck deal with the possibility of death, isn't that something that could qualify as somewhat scary?
