Episodes that show off the bond between Ash and Pikachu from later in the series?

I was thinking about which episodes best represented the relationship between Ash and Pikachu, and the journey they end up taking together, and the three I came up with were Pokemon, I Choose You!, Electric Shock Showdown, and Pikachu's Goodbye.
What I then realised about these was that they are all original series episodes (and early ones at that); so I got to thinking, which episodes in later series (if any) relate mainly to the relationship between these two?
The first that sprang to mind was Pika and Goliath (which is kinda a rehash of Electric Shock Showdown except the opponent isn't a gym leader this time...) so I was wondering what other examples people could come up with.
Which later episodes focus on the relationship/dynamics between Ash and Pikachu, and to what extent? Is this ever explored to the same level as the first series?

I can't think of anything personally, other than the standard matter that Ash will go to greater lengths to save Pika than for any other poke. That's featured in a lot of eps, actually. Pika is likewise extremely loyal to him. Developing their relationship, though? Yeah, I think that was primarily the job of the original saga, although honestly, it probably needed no further developing beyond that. (Well, okay, I know of one thing that they haven't done yet, but there is no way they're going to address that)

EDIT: Wait, I'm wrong. There's the disagreement over tactics in Nimbasa, but that was caused by a character inconsistency.

The start of BW054 did a good job of reminding everyone of the closeness between the two, though that's 30 seconds rather than a whole episode. I really can't think of any recently - though considering those early episodes were all about them developing the bond they have now, there hasn't really been all that much of a need for it.

I'd rather they stuck in an 'unneeded' episode about Ash and Pikachu than a generic filler episode (though, the filler is not too bad in BW IMO).

I think the first Advanced Generation and Diamond & Pearl episodes were great for the two. The AG episodes had Satoshi worrying about his sick Pikachu while the DP episodes had him frantically trying to find his friend.

I've also edited the thread title to make it more clear.

Wasn't there an AG episode where Pikachu had amnesia and temporarily joined TR? If I recall Ash and Pikachu did a lot of bonding.

Well, this wasn't an episode, but the Victini movie showed their relationship pretty well. Ash actually payed attention to Pikachu. They were like how they were before.... Affectionate.

The first few episodes of Advanced and DP. The amnesia episode in Advanced. We all already know that ther unbreakable, so we don't needvery many reminders.

Later in the series, there is really less of a need to develop their relationship, which is rock solid thanks to those key episodes and some others which I may or may not have seen. We now see how strong their relationship really is, and how that, in tandem with Pikachu's power, gets things done. It can almost be argued that their relationship leads to Pikachu's phenomenal strength.
Take Ash's battle with Elesa. (SPOILER ALERT) Pikachu, once Ash realizes he should use it, pwns Elesa's team. As if it were no problem. Maybe to show Ash that it had things covered?
I also attribute Pikachu's ability to take down Regice and hold its own against Latios to its bond with Ash where, without it, wins or ties would not be possible.
So, I suppose, I've referenced three episodes where the bond is proved: Pace - The Final Frontier, The Semi-final Frontier!, and (romanized title) Nimbasa Gym! Magnificent Electric Shock Battle!

That AG amnesia episode is called "A Scare to Remember."

The Lucario Movie's plot basically revolved around Ash trying to rescue Pikachu.

And the first two episodes of BW focused on Ash and Pikachu recovering from that Zekrom blast, I guess. I wish they had more bonding episode like these to help remind me that Ash's pikachu isn't just a power sucking drone. Even though they tend to be a bit repetitive, I don't want to hate pikachu since I actually like its original personality :/

The first Best Wishes episode had good potential to show off their bond (going to a new region with no other Pokemon except Pikachu, Pikachu losing his electricity) but there was so much else going on, there was no way that could have been a focus. Satoshi clearly showed he cared for him, which is enough at this point in the show anyway.

All of Kanto was about their bond in one way or another, though. Dat Pikachu's Goodbye episode ;_______; I think that in later series it doesn't need to be focused on because whether or not new fans watched Kanto, it goes without saying that Satoshi and Pikachu are bff's. I do enjoy when they have their broments, though.
