Ah, hello, everyone. I was a huge fan of Pokemon "back in the day", I suppose you could say, and the recent marathon has unexpectedly renewed my love for the series.

I feel extremely awkward about posting here because for the last few years I renounced my love for the series because I was starting to dislike the Hoenn series. I feel ashamed for doing so now, because I realize I was only disowning my childhood. I received one of those old "Preview Tapes" about a year or so before the series originally came out and I was INSANTLY hooked. I would watch the tape at least once a week and I waited eagarly for the first episode to start. I fell in love with Pokemon from the very beginning, and I'm doing my best to catch up on lost time.

I was much more than saddened when I heard the new voices for the characters (more like pained) and it's made me refuse to watch Battle Frontier or Diamond and Pearl, which is sad because I would really like to watch this series again. I'm still searching through my old tapes, though, looking at every episode I can find and re-watching movies (Mewtwo was awesome). I've even tracked down most of the songs and created a playlist on my iPod.

Dispite the fact that many my age don't watch the show anymore, I'm no longer turning my back on it. I'm joining here to find a place where I can openly talk about my renewed pleasure and not get mocked repeatedly (because sadly I know it would happen in most other places). I hope you guys will be welcoming to someone like me *smiles nervously*. I promise to be active!

Glad to see someone get back to the fandom. And well, I'm 33 and I love Pokemon so don't feel ashamed. ;P
Yeah. :p I'm 25 and Ditto for me too. :3 I'm not really a fan of the series, but I'd like to see it in Japanese if it ever comes to the states like that. Anyway, I personally don't think that anything should come with an age designation, unless it's something with adult themes that kiddies can't see. We can't help liking what we like, so why concern ourselves with what society would have us believe is the average age involved, lol? A fun game is fun period. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy it. :p

Heh, yeah, I see the point. I'm only 16 (eh, almost), so I see how silly I was being for thinking this was for kids when people older than myself love this stuff. Glad to see I'm not alone, though!
