Ethereal
Mount Moon; known for centuries as a mystical place. Springs trickle from its walls, pooling on the rock below in its dark caves, infested with Zubat. One of the only places in the world you can find the elusive Clefairy and Clefable.
It was one of the latter who now lay by the shadowy pool, blood trickling into the navy water, dying it red. A bone stuck out of its neck, but its small wings still twitched feebly. The Clefable was slowly fading away. Nothing could be done for the pink fairy. Its wings stilled, and the heat drained from its fur.
Opening its eyes, it slowly rose upward, looking down at its fallen self. The ghostly Clefable flew silently through Mount Moon. In death, it was still and quiet. No trainers or zubats occupied it now. It left its lonely home, and hovered over Mount Moon Square, the Moonstone still glittered, but with an ethereal light-source. No moon shone in death. Rising higher, over the only home it ever knew, Gastly's and Haunters flew past it, laughing eerily. They were true ghosts, not the spirit-like entity which was the Clefable.
It continued to fly over the twilight world; neither day nor night, dawn nor dusk. Lavender Town broke the skyline, the Pokemon tower shining with the same otherworldly light, like a beacon to the spirits of the world. Although it could not truly rest there, as its earthly body still remained in Mount Moon, it was a safe place for its soul.
The Dark One could not snatch it here.
