The European release date for Pokémon Black Version 2, Pokémon White Version 2 and Pokémon Dream Radar has been confirmed to be 12th October 2012. The American release date has been confirmed as 7th October 2012.

I was right with October - which is just over a week before the Virbank Gym episodes are set to air in America.

yay That's not too bad really. It could have been Novemeber or even December if we got unlucky, I guess. It's almost July now anyways, so only ~three months and then everyone can party in Unova... again.

I'm actually very happy with the games releasing early in October! :)

I was expecting them to release around the middle of November, at best in the beginning of November and at worse in the middle of December, I never expected October. But, if they want to match the game releases with the anime it would make sense. :)

It's about 4 days off from my original prediction (and looking at my calendar, it's on a Sunday again, for some reason, Pokemon games are always released in the US on Sundays), but it's at least not an insane date like late October or late November, or worse, December, as NOBODY wants to buy the game on or after Black Friday or wait until Christmas to get their copies.

Nice. I was hoping for September, but early October isn't too bad. I just hope I'm not as busy around that time as I think I'll be. :D

Nice, just a 3 and a half months to go, then. That should be plenty of time to prepare myself with the (currently) overwhelming excitement of playing the game.

This isn't too bad. It's quite a good date for a release. If we were unlucky, it would've been late October, November, late November, and if we were really unlucky, December.

Not too bad, not too bad. :'D I reserved my copies ages ago (last month), and now, I know how long for sure I have to wait. October 7th, not too long now!

The US release date is two days after my birthday!! I know what I'm asking for as a present.

Two weeks later than I expected(September 23rd, 2012), but WOOHOO! Finally!!!!!! We have a release date!!!!! :D Just a little over 3 months to go. 3 months, a week, and a few days to go. Now, all we need is Keldeo, Meloetta, Dub titles for the 15th movies, and the price of Pokemon Dream Radar, and a release date and price for Pokedex 3D Pro.

Yippee, the EU release date is after the US one again. Not to offend anyone, but we seriously need some major games/hardware to be released here first, as we are normally neglected in that department. Just because we had Black and White, Skyward Sword and the 3DS two days early, doesn't mean we can't BW2 two days early either.

*Sigh*

My first thought. I'm stoked they're coming out so soon in general anyway, and the gap could be worse, but really? Would've been nice if we actually got stuff first again. That doesn't really happen much and it's still irritating.

Well, it's the same in Australia, I suppose. But it's just annoying that everyone else outside of North America usually get the short end of the stick.

Hey, we envied you when you got those games two days before us! Those were nice gestures for Europe when they did them.

But the only first/second party games we had first were Skyward Sword and Black and White. Whereas we've gotten games after the US since the dawn of time (for example, SMB3 was released here 18 months after the US release, and Super Mario RPG took 12 years). Surely it wouldn't hurt for us to have all/most first and second party games being released here a couple of days than in the US.

At least it wasnt December. I didnt really want to wait that long. October isnt bad at all. At least its a shorter gap than usual, nice to have them the same year as Japan.

Agree. Remember when Gold and Silver were released in North America about 13 months after Japan? (Don't get me started about RGB, but that was the beginning of the franchise.) BW came out internationally 6 months after Japan, so BW2 is cutting that time in HALF.

Let's see if they can close the release gap even further in future generations. Eventually, would a near-simultaneous release in all countries (at least within a week or two of each other) be an unrealistic goal? How soon do the localizers get the script when the Japanese writers are done?

The Pokemon Company International and Nintendo of America have been working on the English Versions ever since they were anounced back in February. At least that's what they want us to think. Then last month in May, we got out first B2W2 English names and the US boxarts. Then last week we got our first English Gameplay trailer a day and a half before it was released in Japan. So, as they plan. I too hope we can have even shorter release periods between the US and Japan. Like how Nintendo does with the hardware releases.
