Everstone breeding mechanics changed?

After a while of breeding jolly shroomishes at about a 50% success rate, I realized that my everstone was being held by the father. Admittedly, the mother is a ditto so I may just be confused about the mechanics, but it is my understanding that I should have been getting 4%, not 50%.
Would anybody else like to run some tests on this, because if males are able to use everstones now, it would make breeding a whole lot easier in some circumstances. Some testing on two-everstone breeding might be useful as well. If I'm not just crazy or insanely lucky, and the mechanics have indeed changed, we might also want to look into if everstones work on international breeding now.
Anyhoo, let me know what you guys think of this, I'll be fiddling around with more testing and/or ways to abuse it.

Edit: Also, as per my tradition of idiocy, I posted this to an entirely incorrect section of the forums *shame* I don't suppose a mod could move it for me, eh?
