Think about it. About 120 or so Pokemon are added each generation. So eventually, what if there are 1000 pokemon? You have to create data for each individual one, as well as make new sprites. How difficult would that be? You can only make games so fast!

I know, because there's absolutely no way for technology to advance any further then it has already am I rite?

Strange because every person who comes from some technical institute to talk to high school students just keep talking about how technology is booming.

I guess they just aren't going to go fast enough to increase the cart size 1 MB.

Well, it just seems hard! Doesn't it? The only way you could really continue on is hire a lot of artists and crap...
...I could get a job?

Well, they do usually start developing games WAY earlier than their release date, and we only hear about it by the time they're close to finishing. So there's a lot of time to develop this stuff.

I believe the next Gen of Pokemon usually is starting with concepts when the first pair of finished games are finally released, and they keep working on it while they release 3rd versions, and now, remakes.

For comparion, GTA IV was started in 2004, right after San Andreas and was released 4 years later. A Trailer for Red Dead Redemption was shown to special people at a sony convention in 2005, and it only came out a week or two ago.

Games take long times, they just don't seem as long because we don't hear about them till they're almost done.

So there's no reason there isn't enough time to finish everything, and don't forget, they are updating the technology while they're working on it.

Since we have about 4-5 years to make a game usually, there is definitely enough time for Technology to improve. And enough time to resprite, reprogram, and develop new pokemon, stories, and all those things. Don't forget, there are different departments for different things.

just an idea: if there were 1000 pokémon..imagine how long the national pokédex is when you (or rather if you) complete it!

A few months and lots of trading?

Thank god for the internet when it comes to that number though. D:

haha yes indeed.
Ps.s. yay, i'm on your sig:spin:

But if you finish it all, you get not only a diploma, but a BERRY! =D

Or bunches of starter pokemon as well as that berry
If you have completed the Pokedex, you can easily request a trade over the GTS or something or you might already have it unless you release every Pokemon you obtain...

...that would be stupid.

unless they increase the size of the pc, you won't be able to fit then all

Different parts of the game are made by different groups of people so it's not like it's just one person sitting at a computer working on the game. Sure it's work but if it wasn't, we'd all be game designers and developers.
