Evolution Chain and Sprite Backgrounds

I noticed recently that all most all the articles on Pokemon have a coloured background and border for each Pokemon type. While they may look pretty, should they really be used? It is annoying when i have uploaded some sprites that have a white background (and so have many other users) to find that they look out of place on the coloured background. I know we should really upload transparent background sprites, but there are a lot of articles that have this problem and they look messy. Should all the images like this be replaced?

I do believe that all uploaded images are supposed to have transparent backgrounds so as not to create this problem.

but seriously, its a big deal to not upload sprites with white backgrounds.
FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS UPLOAD NON-TRANSPARENT SPRITES.

Can we change it back to white? The colors make some of the sprite details hard to see, specially the water ones since they are all blue and the early sprites really blend in. Talking about the backgrounds, not the transparency thingy.

Could you give us some examples? What specific Pokémon pages are the EvoBox & SpriteBox giving you problems on?

There are a lot of Water Pokémon, and the group I have checked all seem to look fine with the backgrounds they have.

Possibly Grass-types and steel-types. Not a great touch....
