Nidoran♀ --> Nidorina --> Nidoqueen

The underlined ones can't breed.

Remoraid --> Octillery

It turns from a parasitic fish to an octopus. Like it just happened to grow arms.

Tell me your thoughts, guys.

you play a game with creatures that breath fire, create endless amounts of water from their mouths, and could destroy cities.. your worried about a fish that turns into an octopus? why not the fact that a salamander turns into a dragon(ish) thing? :eek:hdear:

this is mostly just by names, but

Bagon -> Shelgon -> Salamence

Trapinch -> Vibrava -> Flygon

As in, Flygon just makes sense in the Bagon line. I'm not going to go into the argument about how Salamence is SUPPOSED to be Flygon or whatever [I think this was on serebii at some point] I don't care, I just see it that way.

Remoraid --> Octillery

It turns from a parasitic fish to an octopus. Like it just happened to grow arms.

Tell me your thoughts, guys.

Before I knew all the evolutions of Pokémon, I thought these both were single Pokémon, and when I found out, I was so shocked.

Gloom -> Bellossom
Poliwhirl -> Politoed
Magikarp -> Gyarados
Feebas -> Milotic
Snorunt -> Glalie
Dragonair -> Dragonite

Tyrogue to either Hitmonlee or Hitmontop. (Hitmonchan makes sense.) ESPECIALLY Hitmonlee.

Dratini to Dragonair makes so much sense - and then all of a sudden when it becomes Dragonite it grows feet, arms, wings and turns orange? What?

Spearow to Fearow
Rattata to Raticate
Exeggcute to Exeggutor
Kabuto to Kabutops

Voltorb to Electrode (kidding)

Sunkern to Sunflora (took my years to figure out that Sunkern was a seed)
Gastly to Haunter (just happened to sprout hands)
Flaafy to Ampharos (where's my wool?)
Spoink to Grumpig
Glameow to Purugly (Glameow was cute, but Purugly?)

Clamperl to Huntail and Gorebyss.
How can an invertebrate clam turn into a fish?

Larvitar to Pupatar to Tyranitar.

For one thing, dinosaurs don't go through metamorphosis. Even if you ignore that, Tyranitar looks just like a giant Larvitar with a longer tail, but then there's this limbless, silver thing in between them. I remember being very confused when I first saw this.

Turtwig to Grotle. You can clearly see Turtwig has a sprout on his HEAD, but it mysteriously moves to his SHELL. Also, it turns into two bushes.

...Politoed is a frog? Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh... I just thought it changed to being green and grew a antennae on its head...

It might not be an evolution, but Aerodactyl is revived via amber.

Aren't insects found in amber IRL?

Pineco - Forretress (I mean Pineco is a pinecone but what the hell is Forrestress supposed to be?)
Wingull - Pelliper (Seagull becomes Pelican??)
And I admit that when I first played Gold that I didn't realize that Remoraid evolves into Octillery either.

The Pokemon that evolve upon trading dont make sense. I mean why would it evolve just because it is given to somebody else? Shouldnt they evolve when they are captured then too?

I never really understood why Machoke, Haunter, Kadabra, and Graveler have to be traded to evolve
