Wouldn't it be cool if your Pokemon evolves during battle in the Pokemon games...

For example Venasaur will begin to evolve at level 32 but you can press the B button to stop the evolution if you wanted to.

What do you guys think?

you mean during the battle?
No, it wouldn't be. there is no point to it, it would be a minor change.

I actually think this would be a a cool idea. It'd add a layer of depth that adds dynamic, fluid motion to battles.

well, it'd make sense. I don't think it's a bad idea.

I don't think it would be fluid. It would force everything to stop randomly. It could work I guess... maybe

And as some people have said, it's such a minor change. And frankly, who cares about how fluid a battle is. It's turn based. There is no flow.

Honestly I actually wanted that for quite some time to happen in the games, I thought it would be cool and sometimes it would have actually benefited me A LOT. But as the time went on I got used to my Pokemon not evolving, although if they ever add that I'll be happy :3

It would be nice when my Pokemon gets a couple levels above its evolution point and misses some stats/moves at the end of the battle because of it.

But they don't miss out on stats or moves...

They don't? Ok, well in that case it's a purely aesthetic thing that would be cool if it existed and unnecessary if it didn't.

Yeah.. I think it's a good idea as well.. I mean it doesn't make sense it can't evolve during battle.. (x_x)

Yes, Medapod learns Harden at level 7, if my Caterpie grows to level 8 before evolving it wont learn Harden because Caterpie can't learn Hadren.
Why would you do that? When Caterpie got like 2moves.. If you hate it so much just forget the move later on.. DX

This idea would have to add EXP to online battles, which would get abused for sure.

Edit: Don't get my wrong, I like this idea, but there's some of us that would abuse it.
Maybe GF could put a limit per day on how many times you can challenge that person.

Ok, bad example, take Butterfree instead, I can't remember how many times my Medapods have grown to level 11 before it evolves and then don't learn Confusion.

And what I was trying to say is:
Yes, Pokemon do lose the ability to learn moves if they bypass their evolution level.

Wouldn't really take away much from the games and I bet people would have a lot of cool stories about their Pokemon evolving in the clutch and winning them an important battle.

Okay, have any of you heard of changing the code? So, you know, they learn the move AFTER they evolve during battle? Ever thought of that. Actually, that's not even changing the code. They already do that.

And why would they have to add XP to online battles?
