Evolving Tyrogue

I'm trying to get a Hitmonchan with Iron Fist ability and everytime he evolves its Keen eye (I shut it off and try again). Is there a chance it will ever be Iron fist or should I just breed a new and hope for the best?

This question is more for Video Games, but since I can help you, I will provide some help.

If you want Hitmonchan with Iron Fist, that Tyrogue needs to have Steadfast as its ability. Basically the ability corresponds to its position between evolutions, so to give an example, Tyrogue's first ability is Guts, while Hitmonchan's first ability is Keen Eye. So:

Tyrogue (Guts) -> Hitmonchan (Keen Eye)
Tyrogue (Steadfast) -> Hitmonchan (Iron Fist)
Tyrogue (Vital Spirit) -> Hitmonchan (Inner Focus)

Based on your situation, you might as well breed a new one (with Steadfast Tyrogue).
