All right. Since we've been getting more and more activity, here is the outline of the sort of behavior we expect from posters on this board.

People who can't respect these guidelines will be banned.

1 - Personal attacks are not in any WAY, FORM or SHAPE welcome on the board.

That's not to say insults in good fun are banned, but if the person you are targeting with your insults does NOT think they are fun and complain to the mods about it, the mods will inform you. If you keep at it after that, bye.

Personal attack, incidentally, clearly target a PERSON. "This board is full of immature 10 years old" is NOT a personal attack, and neither are negative comments regarding a team, fanfic or anything else.

2 - Be careful how you use some terms.

There are legitimate reason to use words like "Faggot" and "Nigger", but using them as insults or generally, derogatory terms (or, in fact, generally, any frivolous use of these terms), is not such a reason. Again, we'll warn you if we think you'Re misusing such a term. (OTOH, swearing is perfectly legitimate).

3 - Be considerate toward other posters.

Huge signature pics are annoying. Same with people who post all their threads in the wrong forum. Same as well with people who simply hijack a (serious) thread to turn it into their own idea of a joke, without the original poster of the thread agreeing. Once more, you'll be warned if we think you're stepping out of line here.

4 - Mods and Admins are expected to respect these guidelines as well.

If you feel a mod or admin has broken one of these guidelines, contact one of the other admins about it.

5 - Mods and staff members are also expected to use judgement and wisdom in chosing how to enforce the rules.

If you feel you have been unfairly treated by a mod or admin, feel free to contact another admin about it. We'll look into the matter and review wether or not to overturn the decision.

6 - These guidelines will be updated if and when we feel its needed.

It indeed is.

these are the exact kind of topics that make you guys look like serebii/tpm/whatever, so it'd be cool if you could stop acting like you're different from them..

ppl dont exactly need a sticked rules topic to figure out how to behave if they have a minimum of common sense, and if they dont have any, they're not worth keeping around anyway.

o^_^o

If the rules are alright there's no harm in making them known. It's common courtesy. And these rules seem fair. If it was serebii, you would have:

1) Anything that is slightly controversial or talks against the site in any shape or form is a bannable offense, even if it is a joke.
2) Never use some terms.
4) Mods and admins are not expected to abide by the rules.
5) Mods and admins are always right.

I mean if there aren't any rules stickied, I would expect that anything goes. If not anything goes it's good to know about what's ok and what isn't, even if you don't necessarily need it.

Vineon - actually, the list of what's NOT allowed is only half the reason I'm posting this (And I'm not calling it RULES either ; rules would imply too set a system for my taste).

Reminding people that swearing is NOT forbidden, that they ARE allowed to contest decisions by mods and admins, and that they CAN post silly topics without being afraid it will be treated as spam and get them in trouble is just as important :-D.

Awww, let's make that six :-D.

I don't want to overdo it but seven is a lucky number :)

So true, so true. I went around for like 20 minutes trying to find RULES just so I could see the many ways I could get banned. Hehe. I looove number 5.

I guess I have to really pay attention to these rules, since I made a mistake, breaking one of them. I will try to do better in the future. Count on it.

The 'rules' look good enough. Simple and detailed. Plus it's not too strict, like SPP. xD

The larger you get them more order you need...

I can just picture how chaotic this board may become in around a month. I think yesterday it seemed pretty busy (with people online). I just hope Archaic turns off (or doesn't for get to) guest posting.

naw ure rong its 2007 lol but of course all of these kinda sites have rules
its like letting people cuss and not get in trouble or anything like that..
