Okay; didn't know if this belonged here or in Garden Grotto, so I stuck it here. Mods, please forgive me.

Anyway, there's so many times I've seen a username and wondered "where the heck'd that come from?", and I know I'm probably not the only one. So I thought I'd start this thread.

Guess I'll start with mine. The full name is "Nekusagi"- I just shortened it to "Neku", because, well, I could. The name is a combination of the Japanese words "neko" (cat) and " usagi" (rabbit), since my first anthro version of myself I drew had bunny ears and a kitty tail. I've googled my name, and apparently, the term can be used interchangably with "cabbit" (as in Ryo-Oh-Ki from Tenchi) although I long assumed I was the first to think it up.

Simply Habunake, japanese name for Seviper. I was gonna use Kojiro like on SPP, but it was taken (don't know by who though), so I went with my favorite Pokemon at the time, plus I like how it sounds.

My username.... first word is part of my email, second is my fav pokemon.

Woot

Due to Megan's Law, I'm not allowed to say what my name means :(

^"Big golden megalopenis"?

Make of that what you wish.

Joey is Joey. Not named after a baby kangaroo however. Also not my real name.

Favorite color. Favorite comic company. Favorite number. Although I think mine's one of the easier ones to decipher.

I always assumed your name meant General Marvel for some reason.

And lol at Ookinkyon, I thought it was some kinda ape thing (reminds me of Primeape's japanese name)

Favourite two types. Fire is first Dark is second fav.
How creative of me -.-;;

Sounds like me peeing... or other activities... :X

My old Internet name, mostly on TRHQ, was "rgmusashi." Most people who knew me fairly well just called me "rg," though. "Argy" is simply the way the letters "rg" are pronounced, and made into something that looks like a name.

Way to be totally literal. It's his given name. ;)

And, lol@Mozz.

Um.....damn, you're making me think! XD I made this name so long ago..I first had it on AOL until we switched internets, and it was before I started seriously going by Ashura I think, though it could be after...anyway, break down:

Ashura - eh, either this is referring to Ash, or referring to that actual name, which is what I go by.

theTrainer - ........does this need explaining?

;-) mine is completely unoriginal!
Bell is my last name, and the 2 comes because I'm a Jr..

I picked alpha because... I guess its because at the time when everyone here was changing there names I decided to pick that because it sounded cool :sweatlol:
(but, yeah I also like to consider my username the original Bell02)

Five years ago, I was coming up with a new username, and I wanted something that combined "follow your dreams" and "follow your heart". That pretty much was "DreamHeart", but that sounded like a teen mag to me, plus I didn't think it was original enough. So I substuted dream for the Japanese word for dream. Hence, YumeHeart.

DarkEliteKaren = The Dark-type Elite Four trainer from GSC.

Dark being my favorite type, GSC being my favorite games and Karen being my favorite character (never mind that she only has, what, 2 or 3 lines in the game?).
