Today, Manga Entertainment announced on their facebook that the first volume of the anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima's highly popular "Fairy Tail" manga will be released in the United Kingdom on 5th March 2012. The first volume will contain the first 12 episodes of the series.

Earlier this year, FUNimation Entertainment announced that they had licensed the first 48 episodes of the series; the first volume of which will be released in America on DVD and Blu-Ray on 22nd November 2011. The "Fairy Tail" anime began airing in Japan in October 2009 and has recently been renewed for a third year.

Although nothing has been confirmed, it is expected that the UK release will be DVD only.
