(Haruka, not the month)

I drew this servicey picture of Haruka the other day because I was reading a lot of topics where people thought she would most likely be replaced in the Daimond and Pearl Season of Pokemon, however I made this to show that it doesn't have to happen. (Though she looks kind-of Goth)

I haven't done any fan art in... probably a long time... (I guess the Cacturne sig is one but it took about 5 mins so it doesn't count) but I thought Bouysel looked very cool and I had to draw it (l know I did the same with Lucario, that monster just oozed coolness). I'm not sure if I'll have much time to color it so I'll post the scan right now as a preview, and paint (and shrink) it later. It's versusing an ivysaur, which I thought would be about fair in a fight, but excuse ivysaur for not looking so hot because I had to do it by memory (and I don't ever really draw it).

So, thanks for looking and tell me what you think. Also, if you are a Haruka fan, I think she could come up in the new season...

but to be fair...
for my honest feeling, I think there is a chance all of the characters can be dumped next season and they'll start with new characters! :bawling:

Also this is a little mini rant of mine on the pics, but I like 'em:
I also really don't want to be one to make excuses but Haruka's arm bugs me because I should have made it wrap around if it were to be so long. But I had to say that as a nervous sort of twitch. I also colored it quickly, partly because of time, other because I didn't want to re-trace the scan. I also think May's pic could have been better if I didn't decide to draw it on the road...

Nice pic, well if you think she looks goth then the original D/P girl must look even more evil to you :P

Only 1 small comment. her mouth looks like her big tongue is pointing out. this doesnt give her the original 'may' look.

Yeah I do think the Original looks kind of Goth, or faugoth too. :-p

:embarass: Yeah, that's from me having the sensitivity too high in the selection tool when I was clearing the white space...

I don't fell like Double posting to unmark this so I'll add this picture. There was somebody or some post on this board that made me want to draw stableye again so I did for my new sig.

I wanted to make it simple, with a mildly active direction of the character.

Ooh! Draw May bathing in money! That'd bring more peeps to the yard... or at least her as a beach model or something...
 
The May picture came out okay. (even if I dislike May a lot, art is still art to my eyes)
Coloring: basically what Kasumi-san said
About her arm: you should've had the elbow closer to Skitty's head. And remember, the elbows are usually around the waistline of the person.
Her mouth is supposed to be more of a triangular shape.
Other than that it's pretty good. I love the way the hair and face came out though, especially the colors.
btw, I dont have much of a problem drawing in cars. It's just that I get headaches and nausea.
 
it looks like a portrait, that one of those carnival artists make! maybe she was at a theme park goofing off with her skitty. that's definitly a pose i would do for a carnival artist! skitty looks so huggable....I want one....wait, I already have one!..but I want one in real life now.....^^

If they dump the current characters right now in the next season, you can remember the old characters by saving their image to your computer.

lol, that sound so weird, especially because may is about 10/11. Okay, one quick sketch before I leave.
 
Well, if you can draw a pic of May being gangsta in some sort of way, I'd be happy to look.
 
that would be difficult, imho. I've never seen a successfull female rapper for some reason... i might be wrong tho.
 
Ok, because I don't feel like making a new topic I'm Hijacking my old one to add this:

I created some fake pokemon for the heck of it because Diamond and Pearl got me in the mood to do this again. Sorry for the quick color job, but it was mainly to get an idea.

name is Yami (or Yamikarasu)+ Hagetaka (vulture)
The idea for this one came because I wanted a vulture pokemon, and crows/ravens are shown similar to vultures because they are scavengers. Problem was that Yamikarasu wears a hat, but a vulture is suppose to be bald so I decided to give it a hood that could go off (making it covered sometimes and bald other times). Its actually based off of a regular and an American King vulture (hince the blue eyes)

name is Kendo + Duck, the name actually came from Mr. Kecleon. I just thought he was totally creative for coming up with that and it was really cool. So I'd like to thank him for that if he ever sees this topic. Basically I think Farfetch'd is one of the cooler ignored pokemon from the first gen. Lets face it, it's moves aren't so hot and neither were its stats, but it looked cool, and supposedly taste good.:thumbup: And basically I wanted to make it cool, my younger brother said he had wanted to turn it into a samurai, but I thought it already was one so I couldn't make it normal and gave it a dual weilding style. The animals I actually based it off of are a Mandarin Duck, and a Red Breasted Goose.

name is quite easy this time.. Hari (as in crystal) + Yami, I tried to make it rhyme again. The idea behind it was that it ate so many crystals and jewels deep in the earth that they begin sprouting out if it. I also wanted to reference the eyes as being like a dark crystal

nijiraume flying/grass
ニジラウメ
name is from niji (rainbow) + shiraume (white-colored plum blossom) It actuall is based off of two types of peacock. I wanted it to be plant and fruit bearing (hince the plums growing on the tail) but not resemble a regular grass type. I thought the inviting look and fruit made it seem flaunty like a peacock, but also deceptive... though now that I think about it, those themes also create sexual innuendo o_O; Originally I was going to make a male and female version, but decided against it later.

name is hirameku (flicker) + risu (for chipmunk/squrriel), why? Because I know people want a chipmunk pokemon also, and since Pachirisu can't evolve at least let it evolve from something. I think that would be appropreate too, the baby moves could come from this pokemon (though it isn't suppose to be a baby)

name is kitsunezaru (lemur) + eepam, After having Ash's pokemon on the tv show, it just shows how cool this pokemon would be as a ninja. Of course I didn't design it to be a ninja, but a lemur, but I wanted to make it look faster and more acrobatic. I think this pokemon looks kind of cool (though I had no idea how aipom should origially look evolved). I added claws to its tail (and a thumb, for those that notice) to make it more like an evolved pokemon.. but yeah I like this one a bunch.

Thanks, they looked pretty good. I dunno though, I'm not confident in my own sprite making ability because its been a while since I've drawn that way.
 
Nice Drawings but the pokemon draaning I seen before but it was not drawn
