Well, a couple things about it seem, off. mostly around the area of the actual splice. If you're using MS paint, I could give you some pointers to halp that.

thanks i wasnt finished with it yet so i decided to put it up and see what u guys thought. i agree it does get a little rough around the splice ill work on it

I'm not trying to be mean here but that new one... 4, if even... If I ran into that thing in-game, I would be like, "WHOAAA, THEY WERE NOT SMOKING THE GOOD STUFF THIS GEN."

Here are some tips from someone studying design:
- Too many colors. You want to limit your palette to three colors and varying shades of said three colors, as long as all are complementary.

- Think of the silhouette of your character. The human brain will actually recognize things more based on the shape and the negative space rather than all the tiny little details in the middle.

I merged your other thread with this one just to let you know.

As for your newest sprite, there's too much added to it. As others have said you should try to limit the amount of colors used. If you need help there are many spriters here that will be more than happy to guide and give critiques.
 
its my first i didnt know how to color it without it taking forever so i just left it. im probably goin to fix it somewhere in the future
