Maybe someone who played Platinum in Japanese can help me with this.
I go on Japanese sites for fanart, and since lately I've been on a huge Team Galactic kick I find a lot of Cyrus fanart. So um, what's the deal with Japanese fanart connecting him with Rotom? It's not just a couple of artists--it's a LOT. Now, I don't know the Japanese text. I don't know if the half-scrawled name on the end of the notebook was as blindingly obvious as it was in English. But the card game clearly shows that the person who knew Rotom as a child (and thus wrote the notebook) was Pluto. So why do so many people take away the one bit of backstory he gets and give it to someone who already has more backstory than the rest of the gang combined?
So, to make this a full thread, what're some instances of fandom confounding you?
