To start of, kudos go to Mewfour for starting this topic in the first place. Then flamethrowers shall be turned on him as he roasts in eternal hell for getting myself addicted to them. Of course, we shall give him an endless supply of Boost! Juice.

Then, on to the real topic; It's simple, and it started like this:

If your Fan Fic was a movie, what music would you use for the soundtrack?

And it stemmed into myself and Damian Silverblade becoming addicted to it, and creating sprawling soundtracks that contained hundreds of songs covering every single aspect of ours stories.

For the most part, soundtracks stoo- er, took, ^^;; music from games such as Final Fantasy (NOBUO UEMATSU RULES!), Baldur's Gate, Chrono Trigger/Cross, movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and many other things. For the most part, we stole the abundence of music that IS Final Fantasy soundtracks. :)

What you need to do is specify WHAT the name of the song on your soundrack is, for example: Satoshi's Theme, and the song that you believe fits him in your story, what that song is from, and what the name of the song is.

I've posted the first part of my soundtrack to Mandragora, which was roughly done and needs a little trifle of editing. :) And we shall await the expected soundtrack to TGE, and more adictees <laughs evilly>

Mandragora (unfinished)

Opening Theme: Final Fantasy 10, Ending Theme
Mandragora: Final Fantasy 11, Anxiety
Sakaki's Theme: Final Fantasy 10, Crumbling of Time Extended
Dreaming: Final Fantasy 5, Fate in Haze
Sakari's Theme: Final Fantasy 7, Aeris' Theme/Death Theme
Blackbirds: Final Fantasy 6, The Day After
Akira's Theme: Final Fantasy 5, The Land Unknown
Tokiwa Rains: Final Fantasy 7, Trail of Blood
Domino's Theme: Final Fantasy 5, The Ancient Library
Musashi and Kojiro's Theme: Chrono Cross, Orphan of the Flame
Life is a Chess Game: Baldur's Gate II, The Planar Sphere
Hyacinth: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Farewell
Pills: Minority Report, Sean's Theme
Ending Theme: Chrono Cross, Dragon's Prayer

Well, for me, sometimes it depends on the characters...

like when I'm doing a Digimon fic and I'm writing about Oikawa, I put on Madonna's "This Used to be My Playground", which is about having a secret and...losing the only other person who knew. *it...helps if you have the slightest clue who the character is*

But yeah! I use a TON of Final Fantasy music too! LOVE it! Especially FFVI--wow, the Opera alone, you know? *sings the aria in Italian*

And sometimes I just put on any old thing, because I can't write when it's quiet out.

I *LOVE* that scene.

It's so brilliant.

Uh?

Toge, you forget this is a new TGE ;-). It could be the same character, it could be another...

<pouts> But you have too!!

And besides, we can at least GUESS that the Death occurs DURINg the 'raid' on Masara...

<pokes> Oh well. Any death is good. MWAHAHA.

<chokes on his drink>

the Grand Finale version of Relm's theme assisted me with the third chapter of "Obsession"...and I don't really know why. Maybe it's the etherialness of both pieces...

when writing for Jiri, of course, there's "Ware Wa Collector"...but I don't usually listen to it right away...

The opening for mine would definitely be "Hot and Cold," the theme from "Weekend at Bernie's." (Very funny movie, but you knew that.)

What else? Well, let's see. A constant point is the heat. (It's fun writing about August weather in the misery of February!) Maybe "Summer in the City" or "Night of a Thousand Stars."

Lyrics -

*Wanderer of Time

Haruka tooku yoru o koete / Crossing the distant night,
Sabaku no umi o samayou / Wandering the desert sea.

Kami no koe wa shinkirou / The gods' voices are mirages;
Wasurerareta hitobito / The forgotten people.

Kage wa shiroku yurameki tatsu / Shadows flicker palely, then stand;
Ima hitotabi no maboroshi / For one moment, an illusion.

Aoku moeru yuusha no yume / A hero's dream, burning blue,
Towa ni nemuru hitobito / The people, sleeping forever.

**Lyrics - The Breaking of the Fellowship

When the cold of winter come
Starless Night will Cover All
In the Waning of the Sun
We will walk in bitter rain

And in dreams
But in dreams
I can hear your name

And in dreams
But in dreams
We will meet again

When the seas and mountains falls
And we come to end of days
In the dark I hear a call
I will be there
I will go there

And back again...

*hail, hail, hail*

Anyone who uses that piece when writing has my respect.

BTW--chapter 4 of Obsession seems to be written to the City of Ancients theme from FFVII, and a remix of Terra's theme that I got off Overclocked
