Hey there everyone! My name is Patrick and I'm brand new to the forum. The main reason that I'm here is because a potential customer of mine let me know that there's a world of people out there who may benefit from the skills that I'm lucky enough to have. Let me backtrack a bit. For the last couple of years I've been involved with small scale prop creation. For those of you unfamiliar with the world of props, a prop (more specifically hand props) are the items in movies/shows that you usually always want but you're rarely able to obtain (usually because companies never even attempt to make said items).

What I would be able to do is make items such as the badges from Pokemon into actual 3D wearable badges. Molding and Casting can be a bit complex to explain, so instead I'll show you a few pictures of the items I've made over the years.

If you guys and gals out there are interested, please post in my thread, or send me a private message. I really hope I'm able to make tons of Pokemon fans happy, as I love creating new items and if my creations are able to bring happiness to people all around the world well...I'm all for that!

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum.. I kind of thought it might have qualified as an art form, but wasn't exactly sure so I posted it here.

As I stated in my post, I kind of figured it would be. Which forum would be more suitable for a project interest thread?

I'm interested. o.o

Uh... if I were willing to commission you for model badges, how much would you charge?

I love figures and models and such. And I would die to get my hands on a Boulder Badge. And would love the others, too, if the price is in my range.

Artist's Alcove. I'm moving it there right now.

Thanks a lot =)

I typically enjoy creating things that multiple people would want. My general rule is "If I can sell 5 of them for a decent price, you'll receive YOURS absolutely free". The reason certain commissions are difficult is the time/cost involved for me. For instance.. if i were to charge you a fair price (let's say under $30 for something you're wanting) it would probably cost me that much in silicone/resin/clay/paint to create and wouldn't take any of my time into consideration. My hobby tends to fund itself but as an incentive for me to be able to continue doing what I'm doing I usually use all the "profits" as gas money. For those of you who drive, free gas = big deal.

but hey, send me pics of what you're wanting to be made and i'll see if i can do it!

We have pictures of every badge on Bulbapedia. :x

I can't imagine they'd cost much to make, in terms of materials, since they seem to each be a pin about the size of a quarter, don't they?

The set I'm most interested in is the Kanto badges.

What is the Earth Badge in that article from? It doesn't look like the Earth Badge I know.

Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood what you said. I thought you meant you had your OWN custom ideas you wanted to see made. When you said you'd commission me I figured it was for something OTHER than what I was already offering. Since I have time off of school this summer I'll probably make one set of the badges, perhaps the originals to start off with, see how well they fair on e-bay then determine whether or not to continue with the next set.

Ah, okay. I was asking the price for a set, yes. :x

It does seem cool, but I know I probably won't be a humongous supporter as there would only be a hand full I'd want (probably a few from each game), and I probably wouldn't want to pay $20-50 a piece.
