I've checked and didn't find thread about this game.. Hope I've checked well enough..

So I'll get a late Chrismast Gift and it's a Fantasy Life game...

Anyone play it yet/still? Anything I need to know about this game?

I've just ordered this game myself. Heard it's quite charming. I'll report back when it arrives and i've had chance to review it.

I just get my offer confirmed. The game probably will come on 1-2 days.

So exited.

Btw, I'm really sad because not so many people play this game :(.

I've not heard of it, what's it about?

It's level 5's (the one who made Layton and Yakoi Watch) open world *kinda* simulation RPG game.

The closest game I can imagine similar to it is Rune Factory.

Btw, if you fancy adventurous game, you maybe won't like this game... the game is an 'easy' RPG game that tend to be repetitive like HM and RF games ^^; *i'm a huge HM and RF games and used to this style so I know I will love it*

Btw @CrackFox; do you start yet? What Life do you want to start as? I want to start as Woodcutter/Miner. I think the best strategy is to start as Collecter (Woodcutter/Miner/Angler) then Crafter (Cook/Blacksmith/Carpenter/Tailor) then occasionally Fighther, I think I will be Hunter as my main Fighting Life *will design it to look like Katniss :3*

Mercenary also sounds well...

I've had this game since its U.S. launch, actually! Took a really long hiatus, but now that things in my life are somewhat getting back on track I'm gonna pick this up again. I started as a Wizard, and I also have licenses for Cook, Angler, Miner, Blacksmith, and Alchemist. I'm gonna progress in the main story for a bit before picking up other licenses (it can be overwhelming trying to juggle so many Lives at once).

Something important to note for this game is that the multiplayer part depends on whether or not you've purchased the Origin Island DLC. (People who purchased the DLC can only link up with other people who purchased the DLC. People who don't have the DLC purchased can only link up with other people who don't have the DLC purchased.) Just something to keep in mind if you plan on playing with other people.

Also, some free gear for your avatar. I haven't redeemed all of these passwords yet, but I can confirm that at least some of them work (in my North American region game). I would especially recommend the snow outfit 'cause it gives a much-appreciated defensive boost, which is of course helpful when you're new to a game.

Wait that outfit... we can be Pit on FL??

I plan to focus on Woodcutter/Miner and Merchenary/Paladin and Blacksmith/Carpenter, so I can foucus on balancing on Strength/Vitality and Luck, with little add in Focus *and almost completly ignore Intelligence and Dexter*

Btw, please add my FC: 1865-0992-3096. I want to try the Ally and Multiplayer feature.

It's a fun game. I chose Wizard and Alchemist. The main story is pretty shot, and very dull. I wanted to download the DLC, but you need to be level 50 to be eligible to download it, I think. That sucks, because after I finished the main quest, I was about level 38, I believe. Stopped playing it since I didn't feel like grinding. Eventually, ORAS was released, and I just lost all interest in playing Fantasy Life, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, it's a great game to get lost in, and invest a lot of time into. There's plenty to do and explore if you're willing to put the effort.

You can download the DLC you just cant access it until you are level 50 and are at max friendship with the two butterfly girls. The level minimum for it is pretty high considering the final events (I dont want to spoil anything so I wont say which ones). The game can be beat at a pretty low level if you don't go around maxing out all the life classes.

OK, my mistake. I didn't even know that you had to max friendship with them, actually.

Yeah I had to do some serious google searching to find out about the friendship thing. I spent a good hour rage playing wondering why I couldn't get to the DLC I had just paid for before I figured it out. XP

I see, I'll have to check it out

I try to be adept on everything..

But it's too hard..

I really like woodcutting and blacksmithing.. but don't like carterpentering *idk why* and mining *monster is waterfall cave is derps*

I will try tailoring and mercent/paladin tommorow *in waterfall cave*

1. Walk up to whoever or whatever you're trying to add.
2. Press the X button.
3. Select "Add to party".

I am just going off memory, since I don't have the game in front of me. If that information is wrong, I do apologize.

I figured it out.. but thanks..

Al first I try to invite people join quests on main story. It failed.
