Who are your favorite actors and actresses?

They can be present or past, from any country, you name it!

I'll be back with mine later.

Robert Downey jr., Robert De Niro, James Woods, Joe Pesci, Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, Christian Bale, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Martin Sheen, Steve Buscemi, John Goodman, John Candy, Jeff Bridges, James Stewart, Bruce Willis, Guy Ritchie, Bill Murray, Orson Welles, Leonardo di Caprio, Tom Cruise, Jason Lee, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jim Carrey, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, Luke Wilson, Gary Oldman, Jean Reno.

That'll do.

Here's a list of my favourites (note: some are deceased):

Male
Eddie Murphy
Mike Myers
Johnny Depp
Leonardo DiCaprio
Robert Englund (he played Freddy Krueger)
Billy Zane
Steve Martin
Dom DeLuise (unfortunately he had a lot of bad roles in animated movies, but he was a good actor)
William Zabka (he played Johnny in The Karate Kid, for those who don't know him)
Samuel L. Jackson

Female
Cate Blanchett
Angelina Jolie
Helena Bonham Carter
Gloria Stuart (the old lady in Titanic; also an actress in the 1930s)
Brittany Murphy (boy do I miss her)
Miranda Otto
Elizabeth Taylor
Keeley Hawes (British actress; also voiced Lara Croft for a while)
Julie Christie (she played Sylvia's mother in Finding Neverland, but also had a lot of roles in her younger years)
Sophia Loren
Hayden Panettiere
Julia Louis-Dreyfus (she was on Seinfeld; she also voiced Princess Atta in A Bug's Life)
Nicole Kidman
Marilyn Monroe
Mo'Nique
Lucy Liu

I have a list of my own with a lot of unnamed actors/actresses, but I'm going to say DiCaprio. He's an amazing actor and I was highly impressed by the movies he starred in. I'm currently on a movie challenge to watch everything he's in XDD

Please, please, please watch Basketball Diaries, it's a really wonderful film starring a young diCaprio.

Oh yeah - I heard about that one but I haven't seen it yet XDD I guess I should watch it sometime soon!!

Oh, and my fav actress would be Vivien Leigh. I recently saw Gone with the Wind on cable TV and not only did I like her acting, but I also admired her natural pretty looks.

I like her too. A lot of the old-time actresses really were much more beautiful than their modern counterparts. Gloria Stuart, who I mentioned, was incredibly beautiful IMO. And she looked great even into her later years. (She lived to be 100.)

I think it's because back then there really wasn't any need for plastic surgery - actors and actresses just accepted their looks. Personally, I believe that accepting your appearance is better than trying to change it. That's why I give Owen Wilson credit for accepting his nose even though it isn't the most attractive nose.

You know who else is a pretty great actor? John C. Reilly. He doesn't always get great roles (here's looking at you, Step Brothers) but the guy can definitely act, as demonstrated in Magnolia and Boogie Nights. I actually really like his an actor, he kinda absorbs his characters and his own personality and I think that makes him pretty good at acting. He's an honest actor.

Helena Bonham Carter. She has a natural quirky charm.
Also Alan Rickman and Meryl Streep. Both have made some otherwise forgettable movies enjoyable.

These are obvious choices probably mentioned already, but still.
