What are those places that you go to just for the sake of being there, and why do you like them?

In RSE:
-Rout 119, because I like rain.

In Platinum:
-Canalave: I like the music
-Snowpoint I like the music
-Eterna forrest.
-Mt. Coronette, because it is HUGE and has a wide variety of pokemon in it.
-rout 217. I liked the feeling of getting lost in a snowstorm.

In HGSS:
-Ecruteak, the culture
-Goldenrod, because its big
-Lake of rage, because i like the rain
-National Park, because i like the music
-Viridian Forrest

I thought about posting this in pokemon world, but seeing a location in the anime or manga doesn't have the same impact as going there yourself.

Re: Favorite places in the game

Almost every place in R/S, although in emerald the battle frontier is my favourite hangout spot.

Re: Favorite places in the game

Snowpoint City and Route 217.

Re: Favorite places in the game

In Kanto: I love the Viridian Forest (for the Nostalgia) and sometimes I just walk through for the sake of it. But Kanto itself is an awesome place.

Johto: Dragons Den. Hands down, this is my favorites place. And oddly, the Slowpoke Well and that little forest path in Violet.

Hoenn: The Desert.

Sinnoh: A bit trickier. In past generations I used to walk around the enemy bases for the fun of it and the Galactic Base is no different.

Re: Favorite places in the game

RSE

-Meteor Falls. It just felt mystifying to me. I just liked being there ofr some reason.

-Route 13. I loved the falling Ash and the availability of Skarmory.

-My secret base. :U

-Battle Frontier in Emerald. I just loved to hang out there.

DPPt

-Route 224. I just like it. I don't really know why. :/

-Route 209. I love the music and the scenery is pretty.

-Snowpoint and all of the snowy areas/routes.

-The Distortion World in Platinum. Best graphics in Pokemon EVER. And epic music.

-Battle Frontier. Same as the Emerald BF.

-Heck I love everything in Sinnoh...

HGSS

-Ecruteak City. Music and nostalgia, baby.

-Pokeathlon.

-Cerulean City. YAY, Misty! :D

-GoldenRod City. I love the big city and the Radio Tower!

-Route you have to go through get into Kanto. It's so pretty! O.O

-E4. The music is awesome.

Re: Favorite places in the game

Indigo Plateau, all generations. The name, the music, the décor, the themes, the statues, and everything about the League as the "highest Pokémon authority" appeals to me. I wish there was more to do there aside from the E4.

I also rather like Cerulean across the generations because it has cool music, and I like the Viridian Forest's music in HG/SS.

Re: Favorite places in the game

Goldenrod City and Dragons Den.

Kanto:
-Silence Bridge, I like the serenity of it.
-Fuchsia City for Pal Park
-Saffron City for rebattling gym leaders.

Johto:
-Goldenrod City for GTS
-Ecruteak City, I like the style of it
-Safari Zone, lots of stuff to do

Hoenn:
-Lilycove City, love the Department Store and Master Contest
-Lavaridge Town, for the hot springs
-Shoal Cave, I like the Pokemon found in there
-Victory Road, good for training

Sinnoh:
-Hearthome City, just like the look of it.
-All Lakefronts, for being cool-looking
-Snowpoint and surrounding areas, for the ice pokemon
-Coronet, for the wild Pokemon variety

As far as I'm concerned...Dark Cave, by way of Blackthorn. Why? Simply because it's home of t3h wawbufetts!!!1!1!1

Goldenrod is also a mecca of amazing. It has the GTS, Dept. Store, daycare to the south, a gardening store that caters to all your mobile hydroponic kit's needs, a pretty bumpin' radio tower, and a bike shop! I could seriously live there...even on the streets 'cause I bet the climate's even nice, unlike that crappy Snowpoint area...brr!

Platinum: Snowpoint City~Route 217. Here in my country don't snows, but i was always fascinated by snow

HeartGold/Silver: Azalea Town, Ilex Forest, National Park, Ice Cave. Theyre calm places.

For me it would be:

Kanto:
-Celadon City, I overall liked the places you could visit the restaurant, the hotel, mansion/condominiums, department store, and the game corner. The gym is also one of my favorite gyms.

-Seafoam Islands, because its cool!(pun intended) Plus it was something different from the rest of Kanto.

-Cerulean Cave, it's a green cave with tough pokemon and the toughest pokemon.

Johto:
-Tohjo Falls, it reminds me of Niagara Falls, a set of falls between to countries. Plus it is the first landmark you visit in Kanto.

-National Park, I love the relaxing atmosphere and them music is awesome.

-Ice Path, the music in HG/SS sounds awesome, plus Jynx lives in it.

-Mt.Mortar, I just love this place, it makes me feel adventurous and with the Karate King and other items lying around I came back here quite a few times.

-Golden Forest, I loved the little path you got to explore, but I mean the way they emphasized it on the Region artwork of Johto, yet you only explore a few squares of it on the path to Bell Tower.

Hoenn:
-Route 117, it's a nice cozy route, with beautiful gardens and I think it has it all.

-All the Ocean Routes, I liked all of them plus with all the dive spots and small islets made for little journeys through to find everything.

-Mt.Chimney, the first time I went up was epic, it was also where you could get the great lava cookie. With the addition of the Team Magma base made for more epicness. Plus those drill tanks inside were neat.

Sinnoh:
-Eterna Forest, I liked the music, very mysterious and with the Old Château made the forest more mysterious.

-Mt.Coronet, I loved how the music goes along with your ascent to the top to battle a mystical god pokemon.

-Distortion World=Epic+Awesome

-Route 224, I just liked this route, though I still don't get how this looks like Sinnoh.

Favorite:
RSE: Meteor Falls, Slateport City (music)

FRLG: No idea

D/P/Pt: Battle Frontier (Platinum), Turnback Cave, Distortion World (Platinum)

HG/SS: Route 46 (music)

Least favorite:
RSE: Sky Pillar (hated the puzzle)

FR/LG: Cerulean Cave (abnormally high-leveled Electrode, Ditto and Kadabra on the loose)

D/P/Pt: Snowpoint City Gym (hated the puzzle)

HG/SS: Olivine Lighthouse (took me a while to figure out how to navigate it)

Kanto: Sevii Islands. I really like these small islands with small pockets of Human population where the young people want ot move to the mainland and the old people are sticking around for whatever reason.

Jhoto: Lake of Rage. Quite awesome.

Hoenn: Battle Frontier. Really awesome with excellent buildings like Battle Pike, Battle Palace and Battle Pyramid.
The entire area consisting of Lilycove, Mossdeep and Sootopolis with the Dive areas.
Sky Pillar. Reaching up can be a pain but the Prize that awaits you is more than worth it.
Pacifidlog town. Really unique concept.

Sinnoh: Spear Pillar. The area is just spectacular.
Snowpoint is great.

Favorite place, for me, is that place..I'm not sure how to describe it, but for all of you Emerald-players, it's the place where Terra Cave is in Route 104. :3 Love, love, love that place.
