To make sure the poll isn't TOO large, I only included the larger ones (as in, only caves/mountains with multiple floors)

Like the title says.

My favorites are:

Union Cave- I love how woven together this is with the Ruins of Alph and I like the free Lapras

Mt. Silver- I like the sheer size of it in HGSS and I like being able to fight Red

Mt. Mortar- This is my favorite cave of all time because I just love exploring it (plus I like the free pokemon at the end from
the Fighting Dojo master

Ice Path- I know it isn't very popular, but I actually enjoy the ice puzzles.

Meteor Falls- I like the music, the design, and the "spacey-ness" of it

Mt. Coronet- I like how huge it is and how central to the history of Sinnoh it is.

Stark Mountain- I like the firey-ness of it and how huge it is (not to mention Heatran)

The Underground- It is the secret base system from Gen III on steroids. Enough said, though I do wish the whole thing was connected instead of having 5 parts to it

Victory Road (Unova)- This is my favorite Victory Road, and It is my second favorite place to explore (almost tied with Mt. Mortar)

Re: Favorite CavesMountains in the main series and why?

You forgot a lot of the mountains. Like Mt. Pyre, Mt. Chimney, and probably a bunch others.

My favorites-
Mt. Chimney - I love going there and seeing the falling ashes and the molten lava plus you have to take a freaking cable car to get up there.

Mt.Pyre- it's pretty in my opinion and the burial sites are fun to explore.

Mt.Mortar- As you said it's fun to explore and nice to get a free Tyrogue in the end.

Union Cave - Also fun to explore and nice to get a free Lapras.

Mt. Coronet- Just the top, I love looking at the snow fall and the music is lovely.

Victory Road (Unova) -It's fun to look around and explore plus it's fun sliding down the cliffs.

Mt. Silver- Massively huge, especially in HGSS and it's worth going through after fighting Red.

Underground- Like you said again, Gen III secret bases on steroids. Collecting spheres is fun,and you get free stones, fossil , and items.

I can't believe i missed those two :/

Is it possible for me to add them to the poll? I haven't found a way

Chargestone Cave. <3

The place is really beautiful.

Lost Cave is the best because it's so non-linear... making it an actual challenge to get through besides just using the "walk along a wall until you get out" method

I hate all caves because they make me waste money on Repels. The only one I like is Victory Road on HG/SS because your Rival has already taken down all the trainers that slow your progress. Some caves do LOOK nice like Meteor Falls and Chargestone Cave.

Rock Tunnel - I have fond childhood memories of navigating this cave without the use of Flash. In Red and Blue the walls "glew", so you could somewhat navigate; though Trainers ambushed you in the dark.

Seafoam Islands - The Strength-related current puzzle makes this cave exceptionally memorable. Fairly fun to navigate, overall.

Ice Path - More nostalgia. I got stuck on the first major sliding puzzle you encounter (as a child), and my Dad helped me through it. To this day, I always think back on that whenever I enter the Ice Path.

Mt. Silver - The battle against Red at the peak of the mountain makes the long climb worthwhile. Battling atop a peak is truly epic.

Meteor Falls and Cave of Origin - I enjoy the atmosphere of both caves, and both are nice to travel through.

The Underground - Digging and mining for items is fairly addictive, I have to admit.

Turnback Cave - Easily one of the best areas in any Pokemon game in terms of atmosphere. The puzzle is clever.

Chargestone Cave - This is probably my favorite of all of the caves. The premise is an awesome idea, and the aesthetics are nifty.

Victory Road (Unova) - There had to be a Victory Road on this list, and this one is my favorite.

I like the mountain in Johto, because of the high-level Pokemon. I think that's Mt. Silver in the list.

Mt Coronet and Twist Mountain are easily my favorites. Victory Road of Pt comes a second close, just for how brain meltingly long it is.

I voted for a few, but my most favoured cave would be Cerulean Cave. Back in the day it was a scary place to be with very high levelled wild Pokemon. I enjoyed training in that cave a lot.

I really like how Mewtwo is hidden deep within the cave. It's just a very dark, mysterious cave, and I love it.

Mt. Coronet, because it is huge and plays a role in the storyline.
Chargestone Cave - it looks beautiful, and there is an NPC who will heal your team.
Cerulean Cave - a great place for training in FR/LG, and has a creepy atmosphere.
Seafoam Islands - looks very pretty, and Articuno is my favourite Kanto legendary.
Icefall Cave - love its layout, and it is beautiful, too.
Lost Cave, since it is actually tricky to navigate.
Meteor Falls - looks beautiful (sadly they have ruined it in Emerald), and you can find wild Bagon in the deepest part of the cave.

I love the more mountainous caves that are a mix of indoor/outdoor environments, such as Mt. Coronet, Mt. Silver, and both Unova Victory Roads. They're so much more environmentally varied and more interesting to explore.
