So, I got tired of seeing "no new posts" in the TCG section, so I decided to write this somewhat enjoyable yet uncreative thread. Basically, discuss your favorite deck of all time. This can be unlimited, modified legal, modified from past years, or anything you like. I guess it can even be from Card GB... >_<

Don't just post saying "Flariados is my fave deck!" Say why. So yeah... I'll start us off.

I'd have to say that my favorite deck of all time is... wow, that's tough. Possibly Metanite *crosses fingers* because it was my first deck and it really got me into the game. My build wasn't perfect, and I wasn't the best player out there by any means, but it was a fun, strategic deck that wasn't overly expensive and actually took considerable skill to play.

Yea.. The TCG section is quite lag behind.. XD Well.. Mya favorite deck is Flourish.. Simply because it's my first deck (when I really "play" it) and because I like Shaymin after the movie..

yeah, this section is kindof dragging, and it's a shame! I'm required to be an active member in order to enter in contests, so I'll throw my two cents in:

My favorite deck to play was raindance!

Wayyy way back in the day when I was young and a lot of you were younger, it was a format dominated by speed. You had cards that basically allowed you to draw your whole deck in one sitting. Blastoise's raindance power let you attach as many energy as you wanted a turn, and it was a blast loading up things like gyarados or blastoise himself for massive damage against Haymaker at the time. It'll be interesting to see how the new Feraligatr Prime does with the same power in today's format!

Ha ha, that's right! I forgot that you used to play a long time ago before you got back into it. Feraligatr Prime will be a very interesting Pokémon... we'll see how it does in competition with Donphan Prime.

I'm changing my deck almost weekly so I can never remember which is my favorite. xD

Although my Leafimothfly deck was my most recent favorite.

Wow I have not played with the cards since 2003 and I gave them away to my cousin. But from what I remember the last deck's I've used were from the Aquapolis. My favorite decks I used were Dark deck from Neo Genesis and both Abyss and Rock Garden from Aquapolis.

I can't really go into detail why I like them because those memories are blurred, although I found those decks to be the most fun because of more cards and strategies being involved, unlike when I was about 8 years old running around with the Base Set decks and everyone using the same crap.

I hope this is good enough and I don't get wtfinfracted by Poli.

My favorite deck would probably have to be the Magnezone deck I've been running for the past year or so, mostly because I really like it and partially because it's a pain getting ahold of new cards to build a new deck, and I'm not too fond of most of the popular metagame decks. I enjoy the control of the field it gives me (free retreat, energy retrieval, the ability to move energy, etc.)

My favorite deck OF ALL TIME would have to be the original raindance. There was nothing cooler than attaching 20+ energy in a single turn--thanks to the ridiculous prof oak/comp search/item finder/bill trainer draw back in the day.

Sucks that Bill will be a supporter now, huh? D: Man I miss the old Bill... Have boat loads of him...

Right now I'm liking the Luxray-Tool deck. Mostly cause I like Shinx. x3

yeah this whole new set weirds me out! Bill is a supporter, and despite the fact that pokemon communicator has the same text as pokemon trader, it's NOT called pokemon trader! (now I can't play my old traders :(). At least I can play my old DCEs!

My favourite would have to be Mercury. A bit obscure semi-Archetype, I know, but I was the one who created it, damnit. ^^;;; I enjoyed not only being able to play with my favourite Pokemon, Gardevoir, at a high competitive level (including Nats placings, and winning a Regional and a City), but also just the fact that despite how little attention it got, it was more than capable of functioning even in the US Metagame, if one only knew the right techs to completely change the matchups.

A close second was the deck I made for Nationals but was never able to take, due to post-graduate study commitments (had a major 50% assignment due the day after Nats). If you dig around in PokeGym for "Hybrid Flow", you'll find it. Basically involved flowing energy to and from the discard pile using Flygon ex and Delcatty ex for either damage reduction, or massage damage.

God, my ol' deck from back in the day:

HydroTar!

It was Kabutops from Neo Discovery mixed with Tyranitar from the same set. I'd drop enough energy on Kabutops and use him as a staller 'til I drew my two darkness, then crushed with Tyranitar. Sadly, Tar was the "star" of the deck, but soon it faded into an awesome kabutops deck.

Dangit, now I know what I'm gonna do while I'm looking for my DCEs.

The first and only preconstructed deck I bought was "Sabrina". I love that deck and I have improved it a lot. I actually haven't lost with that deck in it's current form.
But as said in another thread I'm thinking of creating a new psychic deck. It'll be based on Gardevoir and Deoxys.

I like the one I have now. It's a Dusknoir/Chatot deck I like to call Graveyard Voices.

Sadly most of it will be made outdated with the updates. Oh well.
