Favorite Final Fantasy soundtrack? (OST)

No poll thing included cause I don't know 'em all and don't wanna sound biased for not including one. :-(

VIII's soundtrack, hands down. While the game itself is one of the more underrated, this soundtrack beats the socks off VII's. Liberi Fatali, Timber Owls, Movin', Under Her Control, Slide Show 2, Eyes on Me, Shuffle or Boogie... while VII had OWA, VIII just seemed to have more beautiful/catchy tunes. I even taught myself how to play a few of them on the piano.

VII did have a few other tracks I liked, but not nearly as many as VIII. Even if I was one of those people who hated that game, I'd still play it for the music.

Can I say Black Mages? Even though they don't make anything for the game,
they do great renditions of popular tracks across the series. I love their remixed
rock versions!

You should definiatly check them out if you haven't heard them yet.

It's either 6 or 7. 6 is very consistent - pretty much every track is good and worth listening to. 7 has some crappy tracks, but the good ones are AWESOME - One Winged Angel, Jenova Absolute, Those Chosen By The Planet, Still More Fighting, etc. I'd probably pick 7 since it's more memorable to have a couple great tracks than a bunch of good ones.

Any of VI, VII, or VIII. The quality fell down in IX (Assault of the Silver Dragons and Jesters of the Moon are pretty much it for that one), and collapsed almost entirely by X, with only a handful of good songs on it (most noticeably, Auron's Theme).
