Favorite fun/funny moment(s) in Sun/Moon

We have a lot of like/dislike threads, but none along these lines. So I figured it's time to create one.

In short, what are you favorite fun/funny moment(s) during the Sun/Moon games? It can be anything from simple funny lines to an entire cutscene. I'll start things off.

The first scene that sticks in my mind is when you're in Diglett Tunnel. One of the Workers you battle has the opening line of "Dig a hole." How is this funny? It reminds me of Ed from Ed, Edd n' Eddy, who often says "Dig a hole." repeatedly when asked to do any sort of digging for the other Eds. As the Eds were a childhood favorite, I can't help but hear that line in Ed's voice whenever I see it. So that always gives me a little chuckle.

Secondly, and probably one of my favorite bits, is during the raid at Aether Foundation. The self-proclaimed genius Faba has a royal screw up that I can't help but laugh at. When he tricks you so he can call in "reinforcements" (see: EXP fodder Trainers), he says that he has the key needed to enter Lusamine's main home, and says that he tricked you. Yet it's Hau who manages to 1-up him by saying that if Faba hadn't tricked us to go down to the wrong floor so he can call in reinforcements, him alongside them, then the PC, Hau, and Gladion would've been effectively up the creek, since they can't get any further without the key he's holding. When Faba realizes that Hau is right and that he pretty much screwed up, his expression is priceless. Not such a hotshot genius now, huh, Faba? He effectively got outsmarted by Hau and walked right into that. Given Hau's upbeat and somewhat, I guess you could say bubbly nature, it's rather satisfying to see him point out the flaw in Faba's "brilliance", as Faba is a character who irks me to no end with his ego. I often wonder how poor Wicke puts up with all that and still be so friendly and upbeat, given who she works with. But that gave me a very satisfying snicker at seeing Faba's "genius" and ego get deflated by Hau of all people.

And finally, a small one, is the amount of personality Rotom gives in its little quips while inhabiting your Pokedex. Some of its lines are worth a good chuckle, and yet show off some nice bits of personality. It's a small one, but it adds a lot.

Lillie's face when Professor Kukui makes his ahoy "joke" was pretty hilarious.

Also, there's a woman who wants you to provide some dex info for Drifloon so she can figure out if she wants one, and her reaction has me in stitches. "Oh, it says that it steals children, yikes! I don't want any kids!"
 
Nothing quite like going into battle, on the first turn you try to use a supereffective move (with 80-90% accuracy), opposing Pokemon does the same, then you BOTH MISS.

(Except maybe when your Talonflame Me Firsts something stupid like a Geodude/Graveler's Selfdestruct. OOPS.)
 
That point in the story where Hau is like "Hey, ____ did you know...?" and you can immediately say "Yes, I did" and Hau angrily responds with "I haven't even finished asking the question yet -______-"

His facial expression really sells it. Also! When he points out how Faba could have prevented us from rescuing Lillie if he would have just kept his mouth shut and didn't bother getting in our way :ROFLMAO:

This was definitely one of those that made me laugh out loud haha

Also, the Team Skull Grunts trying to steal a bus stop with the reasoning that bus drivers can then 'chill'

And the part where you can sit on Guzma's 'throne' in Po Town and a grunt runs in thinking you're the boss.

Just... everything that involved Team Skull.
 
The end of the ghost trial, where you're trying to convince the chick (purple girl, I forget her name~) about Mimikyu's creepy back room. I loved that part. ^^

I, too, liked the bus stop sign stealing part, in a "wtf??" way. Like, why are you stealing a sign, weirdoes~
 
My fav picks
  • Hau looking flabbergasted upon realizing Gladio doesn't have a plan when we're raiding the Aether Foundation.
  • The skull grunt lying on the beds without a care in the world.
  • The skull grunts miscommunicating by endlessly waving at each other.
  • The Salazzle appearing out of nowhere when the Marowaks are taking a picture with the hiker, and looking like she dived just in time.
  • Gladio: "Get out."
  • The tourist who's obsessed with shiny eggs and battles you just to show off his shiny pokemon.
  • The skull grunts who took over the pokemon center charging you a whopping 10 pokedollars.
  • This is more of a personal experience, but when I battled Colress in Battle Tree Super Doubles, he made his Metagross explode, promptly killing his other pokemon.
  • It was against my Mimikyu.
 
Another experience
Necrozma, a monstrous legendary pokemon, at level 75, is utterly useless against a level 10 Sableye. I know this is a result of a badly given moveset, but still... it was pretty hilarious watching Necrozma throw every move it knows at my Sableye, to no avail.
 
Just did the Cleaning Up Garbage Mission in the Hau'oli City Mall and I gotta say that's the most hilarious sidequest so far and I totally recommend doing it.
 
^ YES! That's my favorite of all the possible comments! (and there are some real gems, too!)
