Voldon of the Sunnyshore gym is my favorite. I like how he was bored of battling because no one was challenging him enough, was considering challenging the Elite 4 even, and how he restructured the puzzles in his gyms out of sheer boredom. I love electric type, and I've always felt like they were underrated(mainly because of the fact not a single elec trainer has been in the E4). Not many gym leaders have a lot of personality, but by his association with Flint and their competitive attitudes I felt like he had more character than most. Not much more though.

I think Volkner was pretty awesome too, partly because I tend to rewrite the game and make up deeper personalities for the characters as I go - I actually though of him as kind of being driven crazy by the boredom, and basically turning his Gym into a full-on dangerous obstacle course, rather than just the gear maze. XD If the anime goes in anywhere near that direction with him, I'll tune in just for that, but I have a feeling they're gonna make him emo instead. :p I also like Byron, but mostly just because I like Steel-types, and he's pretty hot. XD

Aside from them, though, I don't have too many favorites, largely because my favorite type, Poison, doesn't have very good Gym representation. Koga was more focused on stat changes than Poison itself, and Janine wasn't very memorable at all - if Gen. V doesn't have a good Poison Gym, I might cry. I also like fighting, but the Fighting-type gyms and leaders haven't been very memorable either - Chuck was just a side note between fighting in the Lighthouse and getting the medicine back to Janine, Brawly was just plain generic, and Maylene bugged me for some reason I'm not exactly sure of.

I can't believe I spelled his name wrong. I don't know why I thought it was Voldon. Thanks for correcting me. xD

I agree, poison types have had some poor representatives, and they haven't been given hardly any attention since the first generation when it comes to characters, which is weak because they are a very reliable type. Especially if you want to frustrate your opponent. I think it may be because of the number of villains in the games that make use of poison types and how many poison Pokemon are duel types.

Other than Bruno the fighting types have been cut short too. I have high hopes for the next generation, even though we haven't previewed anything yet.

My favorite in D/P/Pt is Candice, but overall, either Clair or Sabrina. Clair because of the dragon type theme and she wears a CAPE.

Blaine! I love how he quizzes you and stuff. I always thought they could have made his gym a little better, though. I like Giovanni, too, and his gym is badass.

And Blue of course. ♥ Being my favorite character and all.

Falkner, Roark, and Volkner are pretty cool, too, though. I guess I'm a male gym leader fan.

Morty, Blue and Blaine - Erika. And I suppose I like the responsible temperament of Roxanne, too.

Even though she isnt a gym leader, Agatha. She is/was quite formidable, old, tough - she even seems to treat Prof. Oak with a degree of contempt. Awesome!

Janine/Anzu!

Because she's one of the most unloved Gym Leaders in Pokemon history. She's also good-looking.

Even NoA showed lack of love towards her, by misnaming her in FR/LG.

I'm awaiting her reappearance in HGSS, of course.

I remember seeing one of the Hoenn Gym Leaders in the anime and thinking OMGHAWT. I'm 99% sure it was Brawly. Surfer dude for the win!

Sorry, had to do that. XD As a footnote, Roark made me squee a little too.

That being said, I think Clair is beyond all coolness. It took me something like three tries to beat her in Crystal, her Kingdra got me every time. I also like how her character's made a little more real by her taking a loss (finally!) badly and not wanting to give the badge.

Gen 1: Sabrina ([in spooky voice]I knew you were coming. I know you will lose.)
Gen 2: Morty (It took me forever to get to him)
Gen 3: Norman (Come on, he's Dad!)
Gen 4: Volkner (nuff said)

Hmm...

Kanto: Erika (Gotta love a Gym Leader wearing a kimono!... Plus I love Grass Types.)
Johto: Jasmine (She looks oh so sweet and innocent!)
Hoenn: Flannery (Simply hawt!... Plus she was the reason I started training a Torkoal in Emerald)
Sinnoh: Maylene (I was just struck by her unusual sort of moe-ness!)

Candice FOREVER. She rocks. She's everything to me. And, of course, Volkner. Who won't. :D

In other generations, I didn't give much attention about Gym Leaders.. But here's few of them I liked:
Kanto - Sabrina
Johto - Pryce and Jasmine
Hoenn - Flannery and Brawly
Sinnoh - You know who they are... ^

It's a shame there are no Dark-type gyms. Oddly enough, if I had to choose a favorite Gym Leader, it would be Sabrina.

Tough tough question...Brock, obviously, Lt.Surge, that's one of my favorite episodes, Blaine, I love his riddles, even though I wasn't able to solve any of them, Morty, he's just cool, Bugsy, I liked the battle, Claire, I like how she knew Charizard, and trained with Lance, was it.

1.Volkner-because hes just plain awesome, kinda emo,and reminds me A lot of the fourth hokage/naruto's dad in the naruto series. everything between them is the same except for there clothes. even the fourth hokage had an electric type attack and they called him something with thunder.
2.Flannery-something about her made me think of awesome rock music and she reminded me of avril lavine
3.Blaine-He was just insane.he reminded me of a crazy old man and that made me laugh.
4.Jasmine.....do i really need an explanation??

Volkner - He has the character you would expect from a Gym Leader sometimes. He's bored with battling trainers with no reward

Volkner: When you talk to him before the battle said:
But they've all been boring battles. I didn't break a sweat beating them. ...Sigh... I'm Volkner, the Gym Leader.

I love that he sighs while talking to you. I can just imagine him rolling his eyes and looking away while talking to Dawn/Lucas.

I'm also going give Gardenia a special mention simply because she uses one of the starter pokemon in her team. Which i found kinda cool. Plus she's cute.

Yeah, a no-brainer. <3 Whitney is my top favorite Gym Leader and character in Pokémon and in every other Fandom. She's really cute, hot, awesome, tough, sweet, lovely, wonderful, and just all-around perfect ~ X3

But besides Whitney, I like every Gym Leader overall. They're my favorite character group in Pokémon games, and I think they're all pretty cool, with nice designs and all-around great!

Blaine most definitely. When it came out, Magmar Vs. Charizard was the greatest thing ever created. I still watch it sometimes. I also like how he dresses up as a hippie, and is cynical about how Cinnabar is turning into a tourist attraction. At the time, Magmar was my favorite pokemon. I had to catch one every time I played Blue and Gold, and it had to be one of my best pokemon. The fact that his Magmar was the badass pokemon of those 3 episodes straight was one of the coolest things for me.

I like Blaine and Lt. Surge a lot from the Special manga, but strictly game-speaking...

Jasmine. She's nice, she's cute, she seems mature enoughCOUGHACWHITNEYCLAIRKHACK*

*beats chest*

Sorry about that. But she's straightforward-no puzzles, no obsticles, no lackies. You go in, have a fight(and I like Steel types), peck her cheek as she offers the badge, and that's that.
