The Tobias a little bit corny imo because even after they defeated his Darkrai he had a Latios.

Well... there's not too much to "discuss"... it's pretty much you loved it cause... you loved it... XD
For me it's the Orange League battle, May VS Drew in Kanto GF, Ash VS Paul (both full battles, especially the League one), Nando VS Zoey in the GF, Dawn VS Ursula in Daybreak, Ash VS Maylene, the whole Wallace Cup, the whole Tag Battles Tournament
These were simply the best battles in the show to me... I can't see how can I exactly explain it (though I guess the characters and Pokémon involved possibly affect my choises)

Lol, how about we just stop discussing how post should be made in this thread? It's not really a big deal.

Anyway:

Paul/Ash: Sinnoh League battle was fantastic. Strategies on both sides, and it really felt like both were battling all out with a a rejuvenated opinion about each other.

Ash/Kaite: May favorite battle in the series up until the Paul one. Katie was probably one of my favorite CotD, and she brought some interesting strategies to the table. I also believe she's the first trainer in the series to ever use Destiny Bond.

Ash/Drake; Probably one of the best battle of it's time, and watching now it still enjoyable given how Ash team had to work together to take down Dragonite.

May/Drew: The Kanto GF battle was just fun, and they seemed to want to beat the shit out of each other rather than just, get points.

Zoey/Nando, Dawn/Ursula, Ash/Maylene, Ash/Conway all get honarable mentions as well, and the whole Tag Battle arc in general.

Ash v paul was also just immense....when infernape and electivire were both stood there after the dust cleared i had goosebumps i swear :O

This is just one of them but, I'll go ahead and add more later. I first saw this battle when I was 11-years-old when Pokemon aired during 7:00PM during there "4 new episodes a week" period.

Bird vs Bird = Paul win.

Monkey vs Monkey= Ash win.

Electric Type vs Electric Type= Tie.

During this battle Paul and Dawn sound "Way" younger then they did at the Sinnoh League which I liked better. Dawn sounds much more excited and has a much better sound to her voice. She seems much nicer. It was her first time seeing a Pokemon battle so she sounds excited which was perfect.

After the battle Brock even sounds bitter over Ash's Starly losing.

Paul:I think I've figured out your battle style. You cover up your wear attacks by pushing and when you combine that with a la-mo strategy like yours, I can't help but feel sorry for any Pokemon who gets stuck with a lousy trainer like you.

Paul:Isn't that nice, you got your Chimchar lesson for today.

Paul:Your still just as useless as can be.

Seriously, I love Paul's "subtle evil" insults during this battle. That's the kind of hurtful realistic shit, I expect out of my classmates it works perfectly.

Aipom's Swift was freaking awesome, I seriously dislike the way Swift looks so much more "3-D" and "glowy" now. Ember looked so much better back then as well.

I also like how the Professor explained that moves of the same type don't have that huge affect on Pokemon of that type as well as the fact Focus Punch disappears if the Pokemon is attacked while charging up for it. And Volt Tackle hurting the user and Pokemon being attacked. When I was 11 I always wondered that, and it was very helpful.



Aipom and Chimchar's battle was so awesome. Seriously who "doesn't" like seeing two monkeys battle? I was pretty glad Aipom was the one who was victorious in battle. Not only because I was sad we wouldn't see Aipom again after the Battle Frontier but because I feel like that purple monkey deserved more and I liked her personality and craziness. Ash's technique of having Aipom make ready for Focus Punch with her tail, while having her somersault over Chimchar's Flame Wheel and getting it with a Focus Punch was insane. With one hit as well.

Pikachu and Elekid each taking Electric moves like champs was awesome. Smacking the hell out of Elekid with Iron Tail and them both falling and Dawn saying "Wow. I guess there equally strong." Seriously awesome intense battle.
