Well, I'm a fan of J-Pop and J-Rock. I wanted to see how many others enjoy the same bands as me ^_^, or know of ones that I haven't heard yet since I'm on a constant search for new music. So far my favorites are;
Kana
Ali Project
HalCali
Aural Vampire
Kanon Wakeshima

I know a lot of other ones but they're not my favorites, but they're good for listening to. Love Physcedelico (don't care if I mispelled it, it's hard to spell!), and, for some odd reason, I'm addicted to the song Aiin by Minimoni- it's weird but fascinating. Also Malice Mizer, Miyavi, and a few others.... I tend to listen to a lot of anime openings as well ^_^. So, got any more you think I should try? If so, please- tell me the name!

Oooh, a VK fan?

I love Ali Project and Kanon Wakeshima, as well as Versailles, Malice Mizer, and Moi Dix Mois. Kana's fun as well. I like her childish voice.

Psycho le Cemu is quite good too. I'd say give them a shot if you're into the really Lolita-oriented VK acts.

Oh, thank you! Actually- I came in late on the whole Vampire Knight thing and have no way to access it... ever. (Can't access youtube, veoh, or other video sites- also can't access sites where I used to read manga online- long story!). But thank you for the reccomendation, I'm very into the Lolita style!

I'm not really a visual kei fan, the closest thing to them that I would listen to is the classic X-Japan, Fake?, and Oblivion Dust... but I don't think any of them are really suppose to be visual.(especially fake?)

I mainly listen to Japanese Punk and Alternative, bands like:
The pillows, Straightener, Ellegarden, Asian Kung-Fu, Acidman, band apart, Doping Panda, Boom Boom Satellites, brilliant green, etc.

I'll also listen to Japanese urban music, like R&B, Rap, Hip hop, Electronic, and Electro-pop with groups like:
m-flo, Utada Hikaru, Aoyama Thelma, Douji-T, Namie Amuro, Kreva, Crystal Kay, Sowelu, Deckstream, Nobodyknows+, Home Made Kazoku, seamo, Hasebe, Lisa, Perfume, Towa Tei, Hirai Ken, Shinichi Osawa, capsule, etc.

Then occasionally I'll listen to pop and pop rock, for one reason or another, but my favorites in that genre are probably Angela Aki, Monkey Majik, and Mr. Children. (Maybe it isn't fair to say Monkey Majik and Mr. Children are pop-rock, but I think that's what they consider themselves)

But yeah, as you can see I listen to a lot. I listen to a lot more as well, but I think this list is long enough.

Oh wow! So many- my ears have been deprived! Wooooowww.... I need to make a list of these so I can listen to them :D.

the only Japanese band i've heard was the Teriyaki Boyz on Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, and i think they're alright!

I really got into Base Ball Bear recently. Mr. Children is alright. There are plenty more that I don't feel like listing due to laziness.

My favorite is Perfume... I know they're not a band, but I've been jammin' out to them for 3 years! It was cool to see them make it big in Japan with Polyrhythm.

Weiss Kreuz (I have the DVD of their Gluhen concert)
Gackt (Have a video compliation of his)
Malice Mizer (I'm getting a special version of Merveilles for my 18th birthday)
Minako Honda
