Which movie did you think had the best soundtrack (the vocal music) and/or score, and why?

As for me, my favorite soundtrack is Pokemon The Movie 2000 because a soundtrack with a Weird Al song = definite win. My favorite movie score, however, is a toss-up between Jirachi Wish Maker and Destiny Deoxys because they are so fun to listen to

Any of the themes in Movie 8. Its music was also re-used a lot at various points in the DP series so its commonly heard.

Fav OST
All the soundtracks from Movie 8. It was certainly the best

Fav Movie Ending Theme
- First Movie ED (Japanese)
- Third Movie (English)
- Fourth Movie (Japanese)
- Sixth Movie (Japanese AND English - this song was so captivating)
- Seventh Movie (Japanese)
- Eleventh Movie (Japanese)

Re: Favorite Movie Soundtrack?

I didn't really like the movie itself, but I can't deny that the Lati@s film had a superb soundtrack.
'Search for the Girl'; made me realise how awesome an instrument the accordion is. And man, that track used as the fossil pokemon persue Ash and Latias down the canals. 'Epic' is a word thrown around so much these days, but that really is the best way to describe it.

Just thinking about that film makes me sad at how disenchanted I've become with the movie osts in recent years. They've become pretty bland and samey imo.

Movie 8 or 9. The music when Jack Walker tells about how the Pokemon saved him and Ash and May swimming has awesome music. And I believe it was dub only too.

The Japanese versions of Movie 1 and Movie 2; then the regular soundtracks Movie 6, Movie 9, Movie 11, and Movie 13. One of my favorite pieces of Pocket Monsters movie music is when the Rocket-dan is giving Satoshi to ride to Ice Island! :) I also like the aquatic opening of Movie 9.

My favorite ones out of all of them are the tracks from Movie 2: Revelation Lugia. Most of my favorites are the unfortunately unreleased ones. Here it is:

My other favorite ones are from Movies 1 (Mewtwo), 5 (Latias and Latios), 6 (Jirachi), 8-11 (Lucario-Manaphy-Darkrai-Giratina), and 14/15 (Zekrom/Reshiram).

Moves 5, 6, 8-10 had just stunning soundtracks. Such gorgeously layered pieces with typically uncommon instruments. Just. Perfect study music or just relaxation music, seriously.

"Toi Et Moi" will forever be my favorite movie ending. "Ice Cream Syndrome" is a veerrry close second though.

But oh man. Dat Pokemon the First Movie soundtrack. So much nostalgia ;~;

There are a lot of awesome tracks in almost every movie. Now I am leaned to answer Movie 8, just because of Aaron's themes, but there are a lot of awesome tracks in other movies, even in the dubbed versions of Movie 1 and 2.

And Movie 10 also has a very good soundtrack, it may be the movie with the best soundtrack if we are regarding it as a whole.

For me, not soundtracks but individual songs:

Lugia's Song
Oracion
Search for the Girl
Make a Wish

this is also amazing

My favorites are pretty much everything from movies 6 to 11.... all out of all those 11 would probably be my favorite...

The Power of One (2) and Ranger and the Temple of the Sea (9) had the best musics, in my opinion.

The very first movie. It just fit brilliantly with the whole film and it brings back the nostalgia of watching it as a kid. =)
